Nannar : Arabian Jewel on May 30, 2007
When I feel as if my soul has become restless I travel these electronic pages and find solace in them. In my mind I hear the prayers of the righteous worshiping in spirit and truth. Forgeting the troubles of this world by losing myself in these shimmering desert sands and for the time being find peace.

So in love are these two
Each sharing love so true
Always giving and sharing
Nice to friends, always caring
A beautiful couple are they
Never have a bad thing to say
Determination makes them strong
Always together, they belong
Remains faithful and are blessed
AJ and Sean are the best
Beauty to behold in her eyes
Indepth spirit to mesmerise
A real jewel writing poetry
Never-ending love will be
Joy to each other they bring
Eternally their hearts will sing
Wonderful to see what they share
Elegance, strength beyond compare
Loving each other, always there

I have never seen a poetry page like this before in my life. The your poetry home page is an absolute work of art and I haven't even got around to reading your poetry. The start page, in itself, is incredible.
With so many pictures of females with veils you reminded my of one of my favourite poems, as I have also said to "Faded" on this poetry website a few years ago which is by Omar Khyam. I can give the English translation from memory without needing to look it up:-
" There was a door for which I found no key,
there was a veil through which I might not see,
some talk a little while of thee and me,
there was ...... and then no more of thee and me."
Mt grandmother, on my father's side of the family, died with the Rubaiyat of Omar Khyam in her hand with her thumb folded between the pages to this poem in death. She wanted people to see! Some ( in fact many) forget that her place of origin, the Yokshire Moors rural farming communities, started by a migration of Moorish people from Spain and North Africa to Britain centuries and centuries ago ( since interbred with others in the 21st century there is no sign of them or there original culture anymore). It is not recorded in standard versions of history for the UK.But she evidently new and she died with Omar poetry in her hands in the mid 1990's.
