Greetings! It's rare to come across someone who has read and likes either George MacDonald or Frederick Buechner, much less both of them. And C.S. Lewis is always great, of course. I just had to acknowledge a person of obvious good taste.

"The truth will ruin only what it ought."

I love this quote... let truth shake what can be shaken! And the poem in bold by John Donne--wow. Do you mind if I copy it into my webjournal? *hopeful look*

    Glassslippers isn't so neat
'cause her screen name is quite incomplete
    so delicate they be
    these glass slippers you see
They couldn't POSSIBLY fit on her size thirteen feet!

Thankyou so much for your insight glass you truly are my favorite SIL. I love you with all my heart! *smiling* Thank you for praising my writing so much, I've never really had such an outcome before. You write much more beautiful than I do, it's very eloquent and precise, and it seems like you always take time to decifer what you want to say. You say everything in your writing just the way that it should be said. I mean dang, look at the impact that you get from people everyday. God truly shines through you, and when I look at you I can see your father's (God's) eyes. *smiling* -CorazonDePasion

Super quotes you got there. Especcially the ones from Psalms and George MacDonald and John Donne. George MacDonald inspires me. Apparently you, too.

Glassslippers, You are truly a kind person and have so much to give to others from your heart. Your questions that you left on the write What Happens Now really made me think, I guess that's the point to ask them... Well I've thought them over and it just hurts I've thought them over so many times myself they lost all meaning, but when you wrote them I finally took the step to realize them, not with holding the truth from myself anymore. It truly isn't fair when people aren't given chances, or when that person has gotten so many but hasn't change is so saddening. Such is the way of life... I'm babbling here, so really I just wanted to thank you for those provoking thoughts and taking time to read and comment on my piece. I think you're a wonderful writer and have so much to say, share, teach and learn from yourself and others. I hope that you keep on writing.. Thank you so much and take care of yourself. Always ~Star

How pretty you are and what a wonderful smile. I pray that all that you yearn for in this coming new year is granted to you in lightening speed and with great mercy and unending grace. Be blessed my firend and know that I am very greatful to call you a friend, even if it is over the internet. I still feel your warmth and compassion and pray you feel mine. Take care and be blessed.

    One Love,

Here is the comment I did leave on your poem "Goodnight Baby Baby" but when I submitted the comment, it said the poem was deleted, so I came to your author page because I thought it was helpful...

'I dont do childrens series, so I couldnt help much. I do agree that although the beginning is sudden I liked it overall. I did read it aloud, and my two children were sitting beside me asking for me to read it again, so I did and they followed with me (the oldest being 4 the youngest being 2 years of age) so if they like it, then you are fine. The only idea I would have is to write about the naturistic part of the wind swaying and the night...you already have that started, just add a couple of more lines to it, and voila. Otherwise I too am stuck for what to help with.

Wish I could help more with what you are searching for, sorry
    ~~Jenn

Glass I can't believe you bought Cup Noodles! I went round to Iola Thomas's and left my poem with a chicken and mushroom Pot Noodle on her step this morning. She's a very good cook and she's in her sixties so I'll be interested to see if she braves it! I thought I'd visited your authorpage before but I can't have or else I'd have left a note saying I love Voyage of the Dawn Treader too!!

(( Oh yeah: beware those ugly and untalented step-sisses of yours, for they are talentless except as CRITICS !!! LOL )) T'Bearx
  • Teddybearx on December 16, 2003
Hi, Glass Slippers, from me: " Glass Lipper ", as I recall whenever I slip up and say a thing that breaks my lips !! On the "CRITIC" piece, it was tongue-in-cheek, and I wanted any who read it to notice that I i.D. myself as " One Of Them " too !!
You are new here, and a welcome addition too, I will say. Very fresh and cogent writing and coments too. Keep on keeping us on our toes; it's not really just a contest now and then: it's a PARTY all the time !!! Glad to have met you. Teddy Bearx

    sweet angel lies within
    so creative with her poetry
seems to write with such ease
    lets her beauty shine
in every word she does please
    poetic art her words paint
    poetic love she always shows
    enchanting is her writing
    remarkably gifted I think so
    so giving of her heart
