Darianna wanders onto Seas page feeling a little withdrawn. She knows he is not here and just wishes to sit somewhere quiet for a while to contemplate and reflect...she seats herself by the fireplace where normally a fire would be raging, but today only the charcoaled remains are there to be stared at. Darianna looks at them absentmindedly...for she is elsewhere...somewhere deep in her thoughts...

Darianna finds the note she left Seas and wonders if he read it or not...she shrugs her shoulders...never mind...she takes the note with her as she returns to her page...
  • Darianna on August 1, 2003
Darianna jumps onto Seas page...she looks around and sees Seas is not present...so she sits by the fire he has left burning, for a while, before she gets up and walks over to his desk. He has left his writing equipment all in a jumble, so she starts to tidy it up. Not being able to resist, she scribbles down a note for Seas to find...

"I was here and you were not
Stayed a while, now off must trot
I hope that we can sometime meet
But now I'll go, to rest my feet"

She smiles at her little poem and tucks it away in his desk...not so concealed, so that he might find it easily. She turns and walks back to her page...

A comment to all... Stephen (Poetry Smoetry), is truly one of the wittiest intellects you will ever meet... he will suprise you with his snappy wit, when given the unself-conscious chance

(shrugs) his work is rife with portent.

    Bonjour...

Comment allez-vous? Thanks for checking out my latest attempt of making a poem. I don't think it was going anywhere, I couldn't think of anything else to say really... which makes a pleasant change I guess!

Anyway, hope the weather is fab in your part of the world, and remember to slap on some sun lotion before you go out, don't want you catching too many rays!

    Aurevoir and best wishes
    Stephen!

Not sure of your exact locale, but your name caught my eye. I have just located you today - on a search by state - as I'm newer to the site. I miss Oregon, the mountains, the coast and the people there - the dialogue is like no where else on earth. Like what I see in your work and will read more. I hope you will do the same and review me once I start posting more work. Thank you for sharing your work - it is inspiring.

Bill I went to you web page but the sound didn't work and nothing is clickable. I thought maybe you would have you words there and perhaps a picture.

    Hello FrequentSeas,
I wanted to say a warm thank you for taking the time to read some of my work. I appreciate your comments and find them encouraging. I am so pleased you enjoyed Necropolis and I enjoyed reading your thoughts about the ancient Egyptian culture.
Your thoughts, " ...it is my belief, based on what I have studied and learned... that were it not for the burning of the Library at Alexandria... that we as a race, would be about a thousand years further along than we are now." Indeed gives much to ponder over...
    Thank you

    Bonjour!

    Hope all is well?

Just thought I would pop by and say 'hello'. I've been reading some more of your magnificent poetry, and would just like to celebrate how good you are! Yippee!

I've tried writing a few more poems, none of them too serious (shock horror), but do pop by if you have the opportunity.

    Anyway, I'd better go.

    Take care
    Stephen.

thank you for stopping by and reading some of my work. i wanted to respond to your comment on harlequin - it was indeed part of a character analysis on harley quinn, the joker's girlfriend. one of my professors wrote a show based around the inmates of arkham asylum, and while working on my character, i wrote this as well as some other things not posted here. thank you again!!
