discardedtears : Contest On May 9, ends 11(?) on May 9, 2007I like my poem because I just wrote it. Even if its not about the way I'm feeling now, its about how I used to feel when i was in my last "relationship", which is still at times as vivid as yesterday. You're word bank on the contest page inspired me to remember the anger I had at my friend for a long time. I like it because it is real in a sense. Thanks for letting me enter.

I want you to know that every word in that poem is true. The dream part of the poem, is a dream that has haunted me from age 7 and until I turned 20. It's a long time to know that you're going to commit suicide at age 19.
I was actually surprised to be alive the day I turned 20
Anyway.. hope you like it.

Considering how short the poem is (most of my stuff is 400-1000 words, but I'm trying to start anew with this site without reusing so you won't find them even if you look for them) I like it. I based it partially around a relationship that I (kinda) had in 2005/2006, I hope it's the kind of thing you're looking for, and if not, I'll just have another starting point for one of my (not yet famous) really long songs. -
