Awesome that you think the fangirl-ishness is a sign of anti-Tolkien fan. Out of curiosity, have you ever visited a site called: www.lotrplaza.com? If not, I highly suggested. The most amazing forum/RPG site I've ever seen, and you'll find that 90% of the active members are all true Tolkien fans.

Lord of the Rings is the best movie ever
BUT the books by J.R.R. TOLKIEN are much better and more imaginative and detailed ofcourse...he's the best author!!
