Quoting Alice Cooper! You are too cool girl, are you sure that you are what did I read 24?

Now then, I go and check out your page as I think that hmmmmm, you might have changed it again (unlike mine, same old, same old,)and of course you had. Of course there is a new pic. Here you will have to forgive me for being male for a moment - Damn you look good! I don't want to here about photos making you look better, take the compliment.

But there is more, quotes that is, and good ones at that. I guess that you must swim in the deep end of the pool huh? LOL.

All kidding aside, you always find a way to be interesting, to bad you are two thousand miles away I'd love to hang with you from time to time, although I might find myself trying to keep up with you. Try writing about something that you find absurd - funny even. Or try to write in a different place than usual, or about something that you woulld not normaly write about. Or just sit down and force yourself to write non-stop, no editing, for ten or fifteen minutes, use a timer and stop promptly. You might find a poem or the start of one in there. I guess that I am saying to shake things up, change your routine, how you write if you haven't already done that. You won't remain blank for long, there is too much going on in that brain of yours. You deffinatly more going on than just a pretty face.

“The Internet is an important cultural phenomenon, but that doesn't excuse its failure to comply with basic economic laws. The problem is that it was devised by a bunch of hippie anarchists.”

“The hippies wanted peace and love. We wanted Ferraris, blondes and switchblades.”

"At the risk of seeming ridiculous, let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by a great feeling of love. It is impossible to think of a genuine revolutionary lacking this quality."

    ~ Ernesto 'Che' Guevara

    "At Midnight"

    By Sara Teasdale

Now at last I have come to see what life is,
Nothing is ever ended, everything only begun,
And the brave victories that seem so splendid
    Are never really won.

Even love that I built my spirit's house for,
Comes like a brooding and a baffled guest,
And music and men's praise and even laughter
Are not so good as rest.

    *****************************

Thank you for all of your kind comments. I have been really down lately. I quit smoking about a month ago and quit a bad relationship at the beginning of January. So it is nice to have someone you can count on to say nice things. Sometimes it gets lonely inside of my head.

  • Eyecberg on December 29, 2005
    Hi Jamie,

That is a thought, but I wasn't asking for the rules to be bent for me. I just wanted a critique. As you probably saw I had around a dozen look - sees and only one comment. I had thought that this poem was ok but then when I recived no comments, even bad ones, well I started to wonder. So I went asking for one. Thanks for being obliging about it.

    Your servant,

    Eyec

I appologise. I was in a rush trying to make a deadline for a class. I had one poem to finish and one to write in ... well it does not matter, I took your comment the wrong way. I realised it durring my ride to school and hoped that I could do damage control before you read it. I am truely sorry. As for "Break a leg," I hold that phrase of encouragement close to my heart. I am not usually that much of a bore - you just gor lucky (sorry bad joke.) On seeing some of your work I would feel most greatful for any comments that you have. I hope that haveing gotten off on the wrong foot to start, that we can continue down the path as companions.

    Sincerly,

    Eyec (Robert)

So sorry if I offended or bored you...not my intention. I have fond memories of being a thespian myself and I thought that old reference might give you the slightest chuckle. I suppose I should refrain from suggesting that you "break a leg", as I'm not sure you would appreciate the sentiment...
At any rate, I shall consider your wryness before posting any further comments to your page.

What a pleasant way to meet someone. I wonder why no one else thought of it earlier.

    "Nightblindness" by David gray

    Your bright eyes are what
    The time is
    Twenty five past eternity

    Hear you listening
    To the silence
    Coming closer
    Now further away

    (Chorus)
    What we gonna do
    When the money runs out
I wish that there was something left to say
Where we going to find the eyes to see
    The bright of day

I'm sick of all the same romances
    Lost chances
    Cold storms

    Propping mountains up
    On matchsticks
    Dragging baskets
    Full of bones

    And honey please don't stop
    Your talking
    'Cause there's a feeling
    Won't leave me alone

Leonard Cohen "Bird On A Wire"

Like a bird on the wire,
like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free.
Like a worm on a hook,
like a knight from some old fashioned book
I have saved all my ribbons for thee.
If I, if I have been unkind,
I hope that you can just let it go by.
If I, if I have been untrue
I hope you know it was never to you.
    Like a baby, stillborn,
like a beast with his horn
I have torn everyone who reached out for me.
But I swear by this song
and by all that I have done wrong
I will make it all up to thee.
I saw a beggar leaning on his wooden crutch,
he said to me, "You must not ask for so much."
And a pretty woman leaning in her darkened door,
she cried to me, "Hey, why not ask for more?"

Oh like a bird on the wire,
like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free.

"Ole' God said to Abraham, "Kill me a son"
Abe says, "Man, you must be puttin' me on"
God say, "No." Abe say, "What?"
God say, "You can do what you want Abe, but
The next time you see me comin' you better run"
Well Abe says, "Where do you want this killin' done?"
God says, "Out on Highway 61...."

    ~Bob Dylan
