oohhhh also good new manchester new writing website - www.nastysafari.com - have a peek and see if you'd like to submit something. it's not quite fully working yet but we're getting there. not going to stay a dull website either - we're going to set up open mics and stuff and have live events. it'd be great if you wanted to submit some lovely poetry xxxx
  • Mulefa on January 26
There's a tiny bit of me that's thinking of doing a phd but only if I can get a full scholarship and be able to teach first years to make enough money to live on. I've applied to teach first too. Eeeeeeeeeeeep. not sure not sure. I have dreams of being an eternal student but I doubt it cam happen. Your plans sound brill. Let me know if you want to know anything about the creative writing department here by the way x
  • Mulefa on January 19
Your plans sound lovely. I'd love to go to Thailand. I can't wait to go travelling again.

I'm doing it at manchester because I love this city and I was lucky to get a scholarship so it made sense to stay here where my friends are and where I know most the drama department if I need to steal actors to put a play on. I'm doing my masters in poetry which is very lovely. I'm enjoying it so so much even it's very tweedy and geeky.

So where have you applied to? x
  • Mulefa on November 17, 2008
Hey, thanks for your lovely comment about my play, I'm so glad you enjoyed it and it's very kind of you to say so. I've got another one on in manchester in a couple of weeks so I'm just rehearsing that lots at the moment and therefore have no social life. Uni's good - I graduated and now I'm doing a postgrad in poetry which is insanely geeky. Yeah I can't wait for the christmas markets - although the giant sparkly zippy dressed as santa makes me feel like I'll puke. How are you? What's happening in your life? x

wow - i wanted to thank you for your comments! I havent been on allpoetry in ages, so this is probably a pretty late delay -- my apologies! Ive read a ton of your poems over and over --i absolutley cannot get enough of the sylvia plath-ish stuff. Your talent is really just phenomonal. The comments really made me feel better about some of my writing. (I havent written a poem in ages either, sometimes it just seems like ive lost it for a while) But again - thank you thank you thank you!

I love your poetry. I've just read a smattering, starting with your start in '03, through today, and I can honestly say that everything I read was good. I am in awe of your work...and feel like a lowly hack in comparison.

    Welcome to my favorites list.
  • ziniicecream on July 31, 2005
I love your quotes from all these great authors, poets, singers, thinkers. Tori/Ani are on my favorites. They have carried me through many tough days.

  • Shannon on June 7, 2005
Thank you ! I have had a bit of the writer's block...I always look forward and value your comments highly, I need to return the favor! I always read your work, every new one you post. I admire your work ! You asked what was new, just back in the states now after living in UK. But will be returning come winter. I hope all is well with you and your summer is a wonderful one! (Mine is not much of a summer, taking Spanish courses and trying to get a job! England drained my funds.

    Take Care!

  • Phoebe on April 7, 2005
Yay Yeah, Phoebe's my real name. I know a lot of people with cats named Phoebe. I also know someone who has a hamster named Phoebe. It seems to be a popular animal name. Which, as you can imagine, is very flattering.

    Phoebe
  • EstherG on April 7, 2005
Nope, you're not reading too much Plath (is that even possible?) and yes, my screen name is from the Bell Jar...do you know, I think you may be the first person to have picked up on that. Interesting...what about Phoebe, is that your real name or one you chose for a specific reason? I've always liked the name: I called my cat Phoebe.
  • Phoebe on April 6, 2005
Is your screen-name from The Bell Jar, or am I just reading too much Plath?

I've always been one for strict meter (you'll note that my class is "mastering meters" ).

Your ability with a free verse poem is outstanding! You're going on my favorites.

    EstherG

Wow.. well, I've read quite a few of your poems today, and must apologise for not commenting. I'd much rather do so when I'm feeling in a mood more suitable for decent, long, insightful comments which I worry I couldn't give you right now.
Instead, I shall add you to my favourites, fuck knows, you belong there..

I adore the way you write

hi...im in the group "how i see it" too and i just wanted to tell u how awesome ur poem 'Rosa' was. it was just incredible. i havent read anything quite as powerful and enjoyable as that in a while. great work.
  • MuseStalker on February 12, 2005
I am so honored to find MY name on YOUR author's page. I can't imagine feeling prouder if Sylvia Plath had done such a thing for me. You are such a wondrously fine poet...such an inspiration to me and many I know here. I will hoard up this treasure in my hungry heart...use it to lure the Muse when she thinks to pout and seal herself away. She'll never be able to resist such accolade. She's such a jade, you know.

PS - I love the cold side of the pillow also....of course, I also like pate, so we're not identical twins.
  • jesseleighg on February 4, 2005
I stumbling across one of your poems - i dont remember how, but it was Autobiography - and it was so great i went to your other poems and i swear i read 10 of them in one sitting. youre an awesome writer - and i noticed that in your biography you had a poem by sylvia plath. i have a poem..or, at least i considered it a poem, someone told me they thaought it was more of a story. i disagree, but anyhow, i was just ondering if you might take a look at it if you get the chance. youre a wonderful writer and i just wanted you to take a lok and see what you think. thank you so much and thank you, also, for the wonderful writings youve put on this website. its an inspiration.

I do hope you got my IM , Often the stupid IM boxing system doesn't work properly...Anyways , Nice to see that you're around. And holding ahead.

  • jaunty pill on December 7, 2004
Hello good lady. It's been a little while , I hope things are o.k. wih you. Isn't funny how you always stand out to me as one of the most diverse poets around these parts? You remain mysterious , Not quite attainable , And still on the top of your game! Very enjoyable poetry here , To say the least!

Hope you are well and we begin to conversate more again. Do you have AIM? That would be much easier.

Love to you and be well ,
