Andre ben-YEHU : CATS and FELINES on August 2I have come for a great meow shou shi show now glow in this Castle Poetry, and then I was TOLD that apprentice poets like John Milton, Shakespeare, Keats, Byron, Shelley are learning to compose here.... NO, NO, and
"NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER", that is why I must sue the Lord Castle Poetry keeper of the seal for allowing those students to disturb the harmony of our singing to the great Mother Cheetah Poet... Does anyone refer a Cat lawyer to help me... I know this is Sunday... VIVA HELIOS!
May Mother Poet smile to Your pen, Lord Poet.
I am proud to be Your aspiring pupil.
In gatitude and cooperative attitude,
Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU, A.P.G.M.P.
That means: Apprentice-poet by the Grace of Mother Poet.

Peripatetic on July 18Great profile poem! All modesty is false, so it is refreshing to see the truth told so blatantly. It is amazingly clear for having one's tongue planted so firmly in one's cheek!
My cat loves to rhyme as well, but all of hers rhyme with NOW, which is usually the timing of responses she demands of me! -
footballdiva09 : Greetings Old Friend! on June 9Hey Tiki Cat! Remember Me?
I used to write lots of poetry!
But I got lost, and left the site,
Waiting for a time that was right
To return here and write! But what a crime,
I just didn't feel like I had time to rhyme.
I thought of you, dear Tiki Cat.
You pushed me to rhyme, and I thank you for that.
So now I think I may just return
To see if my passion for writing still burns.
And I won't forget you, my furry friend,
But I'm sorry this rhyming comment must end!
Good to see you again!
Debbie

Symphony : Oh My Goodness on September 17, 2008Well, now, how funny is that,
If it isn't Tiki Cat,
Havent seen you in quite some time
Yet never forgot the way you rhyme.
You have a talent, that's for sure;
And a furryness we all adore.
I am off now, to read what you write,
Still very sure it will be a delight!
Great to have come across you again!

Sue Cardwell on November 25, 2007Your aquaintance I'm so pleased to make
And your hand I will gladly shake
Rhyme is always at stake
Among friends
I've added your name to my list
So your poems will no more be missed
Or get lost in the dark AP mist
Among friends
Nice to meet you....Sue -
waydownuponjoy : A Breath of Fresh Air! on November 24, 2007It's always nice to see one smile
and twice as sweet to read
that someone stopped to browse awhile
on thoughts I left to seed.
And when those flowers start to bud
within that garden fair,
I'll pause to think of honey bee
that left his footprints there!
For the gift of pollination
creates another bloom,
Which then can fill the sultry air
with breath of fresh perfume.
Thank you Ellis for stopping in and commenting.
joy to you! -
Keith on May 16, 2006For all these words that Tiki writ
On words of mine, thanks for each bit
And good advice, not "awesome" praise
I'll treasure these for all my days
I would applaud each one, but I
Can't work this keyboard! Still, I'll try
With paws and claws I'll scratch my words
Then pause to gaze out at the birds
And ponder: will I take up flight?
Och no, this basket's warm. Good-night....

WisdomWarrior on March 28, 2006A Tribute to Ellis Elkins
Amidst the unassuming shadows,
from a figure shy but stout,
flows an eloquence of speech;
and though gifted to reach hearts
in a way that could sky rocket
a permanent platform of his own,
he chooses instead to use his talent
for timely encouragements.
Following a SPIRIT of guidance,
he gently nudges the talents of others,
with encouraging words and positive prophesies;
speaking things into existence that may as of yet not be.
And for this he asks nothing, nor does he expound
on all the lives he has improved,
with such a gift profound.
but upon completion,
humbly bows back in
the waiting recluse,
to be used again by GOD.
And though he has not asked for this,
I thought it only fair to give him
what is long past due.
So for all you’ve done dear Ellis… Thanks!
This tribute is for you.

hugh wyles on March 21, 2006Dear Ellis,
~~~
I see you are a man somewhat akin to my own heart
with similar beliefs concerning our poetic art
for I have stated my conviction many, many times
that verse is not real poetry at all unless it rhymes.
My Muse is lovely but I wish she wasn't so damn picky.
I wish I had a cat like yours (I mean poetic Tiki)
who writes your poetry for you and then takes all the blame.
(Pray tell me how on earth she got that Kiwi Maori name?)
I love my Muse but, oh my gawd, with her it's constant fight
for often, when I try to write, she'll keep me up all night.
Then, when I want to give it up, she'll hand me back my pen
and tell me to go back and write the whole damn thing again.
Well, usually, she's right and what she says is very true
as you can see from what I'm trying to write right now, for YOU!
~~~
Best wishes to you and Tiki and happy writing.
Hugh Wyles, March 21st. 2006.
