You're right again.. God doesnt NEED us to pray to him...it's the other way around yo

Since you think it'd take too long, i guess we can let it pass. But i am always around if you ever need a good debate or want to discribe the depths of your "beliefs" Meanwhile, it's been a joy debating with you, but obviously, we're not going to come to anything working from totally different ends of the spectrum. though i am very curious to see all the reasons you cant stand orginized religion *shrugs* Nevertheless, i thank you for hearing me out and i can only hope that i've done enough to do the same to you. You did present some interesting points and i'll definitly have to gnaw on those for awhile...but all in all, i wish you the best in you..er..search for truth (?) and hope that this debating hasn't put up any walls around us on AP. So i shall see you around i guess, and have a verry nice day Sir!!

Hmmm, do you really want to go down that road? I can tell you all the reasons why I can't stand organized religion, the Bible (especially Genesis), and the idea of life after death, but, that would take to long and would be a waste of both of our times. I will tell you this, life is to precious on earth to waste it on being subordinate to an invisable being. I believe there is a possibility of a higher power, but, if that higher power has any self-esteem, it doesn't need us to pray to it.

Hey, it's your author page, do what you'd like!

by the way...in reply to "Christians have historically never done anything wrong." whoever told you that was WRONG... we're only humans, we come from different backgrounds obviously yes, but i think we can agree humans are'nt perfect little angels, christians or not, they're sordid little backstabbing creatures thought i'd point that out.

If yopu see this pointless, you don't have to carry on so, you've got a life putside this forsaken box called a computer, but why don't you belief in God "the way i do"?

    Just Curious

this is rather exciting, isn't it?
  • DryIce808 on December 4, 2005
Wow, I never saw that comment backfiring like this. I will answer the questions you posed in the group right here on my author page. No, I do not believe in God the way you do. I honestly do not know what I believe, but I know one thing for sure, you won't find it in the Bible. I should probably take that comment off my author page, it is a little old, a little tired, and was posted when I was pissed off at a fundamentalist Christian who claimed, with Ignorance, "Christians have historically never done anything wrong." I will keep up the link to the page about atrocities committed in the name of the God by Christians. I feel that its a necessity, not to spout hate against Christians, but to demonstrate how religion can be used for horrible purposes. I hope that answers all of your questions.

"It was only in the past 40 years that the church finally admitted that the Earth revolves around the sun. Will it be another forty years before Conservative Christians also realize that the Earth does not revolve around THEM?"

    DryIce808, it's not us,... it's God

if you don't mind, I'd like to tear down some walls and read a poem or two of yours, maybe leave a comment. After all, we're not here to debate or fight, we're here for the poetry and expression, right??

Wow! You know a lot about religion! I cannot believe that people could act so terrible in this world! I did know about the church's stupidity about geo and ethnocentrism! I learned about that in earth science this year.

Well, it is terrible that they did such a thing...especially since it harms more than it helps. How could they do such revolting activities(crap)! LOL!

Well, it is nice that you are being public about this...it shows people what really happened! Keep up the good work! I wish you the best!
  • DryIce808 on April 17, 2005
Thanks, that really means a lot to me and I am glad you enjoy the group.
  • crisstiena on April 16, 2005
I just wanted to say how much I admire your diplomacy and
level-headedness as well as your knowledge of religion.
I would like to be able to participate more in the JMHAA group,
but your comments are always intersting and unbiased. You do
a great job leading the group.
    Blessed be ~ crisstiena

    Hey Hey

I loved your work so much that I decided to sign your guestbook. lol, hope you don't mind. Anyway, you seem like a pretty cool person. Your ideas are similar to mine when it comes to how this country is being run. I read through the list of your favorite movies and I like some of them. So you like Edgar Allan Poe? I have a bunch of quotes from him all over my notebooks and stuff for school. hahaha Well anyway, You're an amazing writer, and I enjoy reading your work.
