ThisIsMyWonderland on November 14, 2005I always thought that my heroes were immortals. I was wrong, obviously. Today (June 6th, 2005) I learned that Andrew McMahon, the lead singer from Something Corporate has been diagnosted with Leukemia 4 days ago. It's hard for me, honnestly. I have a lot of admiration for this guy. How he plays piano, how he sings and more than anything, the way he writes. I had the chance to met him in 2004, and it's something I'll never forget. He was so sweet. This is another proof that life is unfair...being so sick at only 23?
I wish him the best of luck, I know it's gonna be an hard experience to go through for him. He'll get better and it will only make him stronger. He's a fighter. If you're a SoCo fan, listen to Watch The Sky and have a thought for Andrew.

David Houston on February 15, 2005There I was ready to sign out and out of thee corner of my eye i see my alltime favorite rocker's name, Joe Strummer and WHAM it hits me. I click on shameless and read this great poem using my man's words, and hell yes I am bias toward "The only band that mattres" and yes he and The Clash (I saw 'em twice) also changed my life. I saw The Mescaleros in Hartford CT and met Joe after, even getting his autograph and him writing me a note, "Best of luck with your writing, David, Joe Strummer" and I don't even collect or try to ever get autographs, but something strange happened and that night I did. Your english is pretty good, you might not be able to say everything you want to, but english is my main language and even I cant say everything I want too, english is just a hard language. Nothing easy about it.
