Thank you for checking on me. I haven't been writing much lately and hope that soon my muse will return. I guess you can't have everything. Life has been filled with challenges lately and they have kept me focused on overcoming them. One of the biggest challenges has been my pregnancy, but I only have 2 weeks (at the most) left and I’m glad that I’ve been able to carry our son for so long given that I developed high blood pressure at 14 weeks and have also had several other pregnancy related problems. My Dr said that she is amazed that I’ve made it to 36 weeks since she expected that I would deliver much earlier. I guess God is still watching out for us. I feel so very blessed to be standing on the cusp of motherhood after so many years of suffering from infertility. Although I’ll admit I still keep (halfway) expecting to wake up and discover it’s all been a dream. After so much heartache it’s hard to accept that I deserve this happiness. But sometimes we have to stumble thru the darkness to reach the sun. Those of us who survive the journey have a much better appreciation of the light.

I hope that I’ll be able to post more often soon and I also hope to see more posts from you. Patti

    Hi Jasminerose,
So good to hear from you. Yes, that contest was a complete disaster. I really thought it would be a good thing.....Everything on my side of the world is okay, hope yours is too!
  • jasminerose on October 14, 2006
    Hi Dreamee,
    Where are you my friend!
Hope all is well and I have read some of the comments left by your friends about your poem.
Freedom of speech is something we all can cherish and exercise and you have every right to speak what is in your heart freely and as beautifully as you did!
Ignorance of those who attack are usually the ones without a care to educate themselves! hence being ingnorant

Missing you and I hope all is well with you and your family!

Just giving you a few to brighten your day!

    Linda

9/11 is a very touchy topic. I am sorry that you were attacked, but I was bitterly attacked because of a comment I made. I knew what was said was not true and I stayed, it passed and I am glad that I have remained active. I hope that you will remain active because it means more to you to stay than the harsh comments you may have received. It is against site policy for people to make personal attacks, but they do happen sometimes. I am often controversial and occasionally get attacked. Generally, I simply ignore it. They get bored and go away. I hope you stay active.

I will say once again, I am so sorry that you have been abused for holding a contest. I have stopped having contests as well because of an abusive person. Don't shut up about 911, terrorism, discrimination, abuse or any other inhumane thing that goes on in this country or any other...The people who said these things are ignorant and cruel...Please know that you did a wonderful thing by having the contest and I hope that you decide to continue to post your poetry here. Let it out in poems. Don't let them chase you away! you are a lovely person. I have added you to my favorites so that when you are back, I may read your work...Bless you!

    Lynda

If you recieve any further messages, send them to me. I will tell them a thing or two, and so will others...
  • Newbie50 on September 12, 2006
I hope you don't choose to leave for the lack of others to keep their opinions to themselves. I was taught if you can't say anything good then don't say anything. I found your contest to be a great idea and I came in last night looking for one to enter. I do hope you will return and comment for me.
Thank you and keep smiling. Newbie

P.S. Don't take what those people said to heart. Being crass is not a good quality and unfortunately we meet many in our lives who are. Take care dear poet.

It's been awhile and I wanted to see if you'd posted any updates on Ryan. I started a new and job and I hardly ever get a chance to go online. I've also had writers block since shortly after my IVF failed. I feel like the words have abandoned me along with the embryos, I had so much hope for. I miss writing though and I thought I'd search for inspiration tonight. I also thought that I'd let you know that I haven't fogotten you and your family. Patti

    Hi!
  • on July 11, 2006
lool. thanx for the comment and the applause And the support. i have a lifetime gold, i got it a year and a half ago, at these prices its way already paid for itself. its the only way to go if you can afford it but to support this site finacialy, i dont know. im not convinced administration puts money back into the site so much as goes on vacation, obviously from all the glitchs and the way the site goes down all the time.

i used to have a site online, im aware of what it take to keep one online and it certainly is far less than what the memberships costs on this site add up too.

still, ys it does have its advantages.

    Hi!
Thanks for your comment. I thought I was alone in my views as well. It's great to hear that there is another who agrees. Normally I get my head chewed off for it.

I have another 'war poem' that I'll post tomorrow in case you are interested.

I read several of your poems. I like how you write. It is very good flow. I think you have a clever way of writing and it works nicely. Still, practice different styles. If you can do this well you can succeed in others.
  • Northshore64 on March 22, 2006

thanks for your comments on my poem...anyone who has had any type of phobic attacks knows about the fear your mother experiences....it cannot be reasoned away...which makes it all the more terrifying...one is completely at its mercy. society's understanding of conditions like this has a long way to go....i wish your mother health, (and baby Ryan too).
all the best to you and yours...~tryst

Reading at the comments you have above. My god!!! How can someone mistake giving him 100 times the amount he was supposed to recieve for more than 2 hours? That a scary mistake. But i'm glad everything is ok now. Say hi to Ryan for me. I really hope in the future he is going to do much much better. He always well be in my prayers.
Wish you and Ryan the best.
    Dreamer
  • Stingersinger53 on February 20, 2006
Thank you for the comment you left on my poem "I lost me" and yes it does have another meaning, just as you said but I had to make it funny for the contest. So I also added the kitten border to give it several meanings. It is very different from my usual poems and a challenge to write. Thank you again!
  • AngelSeeker on February 18, 2006
I hope Ryan is doing well. I check here everyday hoping for good news. All of you are still in my prayers. Patti
  • DreameeDarlin2U on February 13, 2006
Sorry I didn't get any new pictures yet.....We had a snow storm and haven't been able to get back up to the hospital....
  • AngelSeeker on February 11, 2006
That's just awful... I'm saying some extra prayers. Something like that should never happen, there should be checks and rechecks. I hope this hasn't done Ryan any harm. I'm glad that your "sister" has you. Patti
  • DreameeDarlin2U on February 10, 2006
A not so good update....Ryans mom recieved a call early this morning. Apperently someone had made a mistake when giving Ryan his nutrients and electrolytes. They were giving him 100 times the amount he was supposed to recieve for more than 2 hours! By law they said they had to tell her and that it could have killed him. She knows it was a mistake....but HOW could that happen??? He is watched 24 hours a day, I'ts scary that no one caught it for over 2 hours. Needless to say she is coming to stay with me until Ryan comes home. That way she is only 15 minutes away....He is okay now...but thats just scary.
  • DreameeDarlin2U on February 8, 2006
Thanks so much for asking! He seems to get stronger everyday. As of yesterday he weighs 2 pounds! I will post some new pictures this weekend.
  • AngelSeeker on February 8, 2006
Wow that's wonderful. I was wondering how much he weighs now. I'm glad that you're keeping us updated, I check here pretty often. Patti
