    I just stopped by today
Hope you are having a wonderful day
    That's festive and really gay
Because I would have it no other way

    Champagne at midnight...bootie call,
watch out for St. Nick, he ain't that tall
Drink moderately so you don't fall
And if you're quesy--lean against the wall

What started out as a little note
Became a poem the size of a boat
    My head is medically afloat
My dog has now turned into a goat

    Happy Holidays Gregg

  • lordoftherings on July 11, 2004
    Thank you s

I am doing fine...and that is the truth. I have spent the last two days phoning my friends and privately thanking them in their own individual way for being there for me throughout this whole journey. I have made amends with my mother and we have a new relationship starting up. I have meditated and thanked my cosmic forces for allowing me to see more of what life has had to offer. I have cried rivers over the overwhelming amount of support, love, and well-wishes people have sent to me through this website and my other poetry site. I have yet to go through my e-mails, taking the journey of recovery slowly, because I know there will be more emotions spilled over the pages inside. I have been in more pain than I ever experienced before, but this pain holds the healing process of all past pains. I am me, and I need to internalize all aspects of this journey from every angle that was shown to me through everyone else's eyes. I have a fountain of ink to spill in writings over this incredible experience. I will forever remain humbled over to those who showed me how to do this journey in peace and still survive. I am recovering. And I feel great.

    s Gregg

Thanx for the comment on smoking mountain... i adore your taste in writers except for Lemony Snicket... never really got her... if your into that sort of satarical humor try reading a book by Carl Hiassen... he and Rowling r my two favorite authors...
You mention romance a lot in your poetry and on your site and look at your freaking background but im curious... what makes it appealing to you?

I just dropped in to wish all those a very Happy Easter, no matter what your beliefs are. I am on the road to a recovery and getting much better now but concentrating on working to finish up my semester and finally writing my last two essays before anything else happens health wise and there is cause for further delay, although I know that my professor will allocate the extra time that I have lost in the past two weeks.

Thank you everyone for you Get Well wishes and having me in your thoughts, those helped me get better quicker although it is not a full recovery yet, we will find out on Tuesday if there will be a further delay in that area, keep your fingers cross that this batch of medications is finally doing the job.

Keep on writing because I want to read a whole lot of new stuff from everyone since I have not written anything new except for the poem I just entered in the contest although it is pretty bland.

I will continue to log on just to read your messages and smile at the fantastic care this network has given me over the past week and of course, I am still smiling no matter how much pain and exhaustion I am going through, that is my gift to yous.

    Gregg

It is with some regret that I will be cutting my time down in reading and commenting here at AP. For the past ten days I have not been feeling well, and finally the doctors have discovered that I suffer from a bacterial infection coupled with a spring headcold/flu so I have been hit with a double whammer in my health status. I will need plenty of rest and the antibiotics and other medication that has been prescribed has left me with fatigue and I must rest between 12 - 16 hours a day with sleep or else I will never conquer this latest battle. Do not despair, I have been in a similiar situation before and if I continue to follow thier advice I will be back on writing and commetning with a fury after April 16th. So to everyone who has been reading and commenting on my poetry, I thank you and I promise that I will be returning the favor when I am once again back to my old self.

I would also like to thank all those who came and read 'My Serentity Prayer' and left your viewpoint and comments on that poem...it really meant a lot to me that people responded so quickly. I love you all and it won't be to long before I am back leaving my imprints in All Poetry.com.

If you have left a link to one of your poems on my library page, I ask that you leave it so that when I come back I will be able to re-read them when I am thinking more coherently than the shape I am currently in (I still have to prepare for a final exam and write a 10-page essay before the middle of April, so I need to keep my priorities straight).

    Ciao

    Gregg

    Oh! • Rainna on March 28, 2004
Lol...I was just reading all this wonderful stuff you have here on your author page when I came across the list of places you would like to live. I had noticed that you live in TX, and I thought it really funny that you said you would like to live in Alaska. I live in Alaska, and I can honestly say, that I would NEVER be able to live in Texas. To us cold-blooded Alaskans, Texas is like Hell on Earth, and that's during a Texas winter!! I admire that fact that even though you must have heard all about AK, you still want to live here. Kudos to you gurl! ~Rainna~

Hi DistantWorld. Just visited your homepage, you're an interesting person! LOL! I have to confess that i haven't read any of your poems (yet!).
I like Annie Lennox's stuff too! My taste in music differs otherwise from yours. I like reggae, classics, rythm & blues.
Yep! Star Trek & any good sci-fi is my preference, also good art movies, like The Piano, The Crying Game etc....and yes a good romantic movie will do as well!

Got to go now, but as old Arnie would say in Terminator 1 "I'll be back...."
