Life is a mixtute of good and bad. We can choose to focus on only one and there by lie to ourself or focus on both and grow by leaps and bounds though new understanding. For lessons come wrapped in the bad, tiny presents we may never see unless we evaluate the WHY of what has happened...

    Hugs...Eddy

Hey. Thanks for your comment on "My Hatred" a lil while back. About the "both of you" part. The poem is a dedication to both my mom and brother and that's who I was referring to there. I can see how that would get a bit confusing. None the less thank you again for you comment.

I dont think you judged your last contest fairly, I know mine wasnt good enough to win but you could of at least read it, I know who should of one though and that was the gut who went to paris
  • Mark Rickerby on July 24, 2004
    Hi Lori,

I just came by to give you a message about your Jim Morrison contest and read your author page. I am so sorry to hear about all the losses you have experienced lately. I lost my brother about five years ago and that was hard enough. I can't imagine losing three family members so close together. I hope you are coping with it somehow and I'm glad you have writing to help you through it all.

It seems trite to mention now but I just wanted you to know I did a final edit on my entry in your contest, Touring Paris with Jim Morrison. I know the contest is closed for judging but I think the story is much cleaner now that I'm done with it. I entered in a bit of a hurry the other day because I didn't know about the contest until a few hours before it ended. lol I always wanted to tell that story so thanks for giving me a good excuse.

    Take care,

    Mark (AKA HappyWanderer)

I'm sorry for your losses, I have lost friends to suicide and know that nothing anyone can say will take away the pain, but perhaps help you in some way.

thanks for your comments on my poem 'mess'. I like writing about fairly morbid subjects... you're so open it amazes me, it's brilliant. There are some things I wouldn't talk about. It's a tradegy to hear about those you cared for but poetry is a great way to express yourself. Keep it up.
  • carlspenc1 on April 29, 2004
I just paid a visit to your web page, it is rather short on things ? ie:- a guestbook ?.. visit my web site and get yourself a free guestbook from where I got mine !!!. I have lost 8 or is it 9 members of my family in about 18 months ? one to suicide and I can relate to your pain, read a few of my poems and it may help a little. I will read some of your poetry but not right now... need to be in the mood to read lots of poetry and you seem to have a few here. also try visiting simplypoetry.com ... I have stuff there and the poets there are also very down to earth too. I look forward to reading your poetry, feel free to keep in touch.
thanks for your kind comments on my poetry and thank you for sharing

I don't tend to spend a great deal on clothes etc..but when i want something..then i really have got to go get it!!

Thanks Barb..Youre alot like me I can tell you things that you'd never believe about the troubles in my life..as far as my opinion on feeling sorry for oneself..It is one thing I am lost on I dont believe in doing it on my behalf for 1 reason IT DONT DO ANY GOOD ANYWAY..LOL however I also dont mind if others do feel sorry for themselves as it is human nature..But trust me I understand every point made..and I like the sarcasm ;-) ..hello again to you
