    Words cannot exprss the loss
Nor fell the pain you know

    Unless they have suffered too
with the loss that never goes

    Darkness closes upon your soul
    Fire dies within your heart

Dreams of what might have been
    That now will never start

Time will dull the pain I know
    And hide the grief inside

But still it will walk with you
As you move down lifes dark ride

The only thing that I can say
Is I have been where you now walk

Still the hurt touches my heart
I am here if you need to talk

    Blessings and love John

Deepest Sympathy at the loss of your Brother.
I can not imagine how you feel.
Try to take comfort from him. As a solider he must have been a strong man and in that he knew this may happen one day (I know that’s no comfort for you now) but as time passes you will remember his strength and his laugh, his smile and his love for you.
Don't hide your feelings talk to your family, friends and try to find someone who is going or gone through the same. It dose help to feel that you are not alone.
    YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
I am a mother of 3, Chloe 12, Katie 9 and Tommy 6. but to get them I had to go through 3 miscarriages and It still hurts 11 years on but I am stronger and a more understanding person.
Your brother will always be there in your heart. When you feel strong enough buy a little note book and write to him ( it's ok to be Angry with the army, president and it's ok to be angry with your brother if that’s how you feel ) In this book write it all down. Share your feelings, however nasty, angry, sad or totally pissed off you are, because I can reassure you that your are not the first and not the only one to feel like that and TALKING DOES HELP.
I am here as a mother, woman, sister to 2 brothers and a Friend.

    Sympathy, Hugs and love
    Karen

thank you, for the honorable mention in you "poetry!" contest.
  • bludstaindsoliloquy on February 9, 2006
You have an interesting introduction to your site . . . I believe it tells a lot about the writer. You have a poet's soul . . . not a poser's . . . congradulations! It's rare in this day and age.
  • balefire on February 9, 2006

Thanks for commenting on my poems earlier, I have so very few poems compared to you, I was wondering what you meant by the comment at the top of your page...saying we all are 20,000 yrs old?

Hi Hollie, my son has a friend who is a very talented young musician, he and his band, has been promised a real chance if they can get some material together so he is looking for some input on lyrics, what he wants is dark, powerful rock type lyrics that the band can set to music. He asked me but I think my poetry is just too twee for what he needs, but I thought of you. Are you interested? No pressure. Just if you are let me know. OK. Thanks Margaret.

This poem that you've got to write for school, what is the brief? Because if your teacher wants all fluffy bunnies and sunshine, you might just have a slight problem!LOL .

Wow... great job.... ur a great writter.... keep it up.... if u want to talk more my email UNCDRAGONEYES2525@hotmail.com

Hi, they must do it slightly different down here, because Kim was in top set for English, french and German, but they still let her give the French and German up, even though I argued against it, they seem to work on the pricipal that it is better that students do subject they enjoy rather than just ones they are good at! As for Enlish, I can't see you having any problems there, I can see an A* for you in that one! Well if there is any justice in the world, if I can do it so can you. (i took my gcses and A'Levels a few years ago, as I was bored with chefing, but then my mum got quite ill so I gave up half way through my degree, to help look after her.) Keep fighting, you will win in the end, because you will out smart them every time.
  • swanpool on September 9, 2005
Hi Hollie, just to say I really like th new poem, you did a good job on it, and while being bck at school is a pain, it is only 6 weeks 'till half term! What are you in now year 9, well at least you can drop some of those really boring subjects! They let my daughter drop French and German, which suprised me, 'cause she wasn't bad at them, and it used to be that you had to take french, no matter what! So good luck this year, and we will talk soon, and as my sister would say...Don't let the bastards grind you down!
