I dont debate on things that are unimportant. The very few times I debate I believe it to be very much important. That is really why I bothered to say something because I believe what I was talking about to be very important. I just wanted to share some things and I thought that we should share things and look at other views (and with Gods guidance) try to learn and grow Through contact with other believers anyway. Thanks for hearing me out.

    Soli Deo Gloria,
    Ryan

I thank you for saying such kind things about my gf (malia001)s poems. We both love to write poetry such as the ones you have read of hers. I write and post spiritual poems too and I enjoy writing them.
I know you may not wish to respond to me since I might have touched a nerve with you so please forgive me for that. All I know is that what my pastor who is also my dad that I admire so much. He has shown me so much truth from his teaching me the bible and the way of truth and God has given him to me as a gift. I can only hope to be as great as my father is. He is my friend and my spiritual leader and I hope God will show me even a tiny portion of what truth he has given to my father.
I do not know if I am one of Gods elect but I have faith that I am and faith is all I have to hold on to.

Well Chelsea. I used to believe in free will till I found out that God controls things in creation to make us choose things. I am not denying you make a choice to do something. What I am saying is people choose specific things because God has setup providencial things to happen that cause them to choose the things they do. For example... You can choose either to go to sleep or not to go to sleep tonight. Now if you had free will you could choose to do both but since men do not and can only make one choice they make their choice based upon their needs or wants. What I mean by this is that if you choose to go to sleep tonight that was preordained by God for you to choose that...
Now you might say "well I could have chosen not to sleep" but if that is the case then why didnt you?
You are a slave and captive to your desires. You can only make a choice based upon those desire and that choice is 1 choice and one choice alone. This is the choice that God caused you to make through providence.
A prime example of God causing people to make the choice that God wants them to make is with the story of moses and the pharaoh.
The pharoah hardened his heart but God softened his heart and made pharaoh let his people go. The pharaoh could not resist Gods will because he was forced to make only one choice. Gods choice. I hope you understand what I was saying. If I am not explaing this well then please tell me. I await your reply.

P.S. Nobody has "found" Gods truth.God allows people to find bits and pieces of His truth. But I think I know what you mean and it's cool But please dont fall into the trap of thinking you've found all truth because it's really easy to do that. We can all fall into that trap. God gives some people bits and pieces of truth but no man can have all truth but God. If someone knows all truth then that person would have to be God. Anyway. Hang in there. God will let you know truth if you are truly seeking it

I'm not talking about tradition at all, my friend. I'm talking about a frutiful relationship that is the core of all relationships in my life. Thank you for your words, though. I know you mean not to offend but to advise me. God does not control your free will, Ryan. It started that way even in Genesis. God was geuninely sad when Eve chose to eat from the forbidden tree after she had been deceived by Satan. Throughout the Bible, there are many stories of where people have chosen to do what they want instead of God's will. Genesis 19 tells the story where God was to destroy two cities filled with sin, and he told Abraham's family not to look back at the cities as it was being destroyed. Abraham's wife looked back. She turned into a pillar of salt. I have already found God's truth, and I am learning more and more everyday. I delight in Him, and I hope you do too!

I was just as commited about God as you when I was younger but it changes as you get older and it gets much harder. Trust me.
When you find the man (or in my case woman) of your dreams you emotions can easily override what you know to be right and true.I used to believe in free will. The stuff that was taught to me as a small child but now I believe that God controls my will and not me. As my motto says "Free your mind". I used to buy into that stuff I was taught and that my parents where taught before me and so on and so on. But there is so much more truth to be discovered out there. You should look beyond traditions of men and mens churches and you will find that God doesnt teach tradition. Dont let others cloud your your mind with tradition but seek the truth of God. I am 19 and I still have a long ways to go. You hand in there. I will pray that you might find Gods truth.

Well, this is interesting. A deaf girl who does several types of dancing- a few questions, if I may. How deaf are you? And that will partially answer my next question, how do you dance to jazz (depending on the amount of loss, of course) and ballet?

Moi, I'm just profoundly deaf. I can still hear some (well, when I'm not selectively listening, anyway... lol) music and whatnot, but for the most part, it's just about gone.

I can dance too! (How about that??) Of course, I'm a tall lanky white guy, so I suck at it. Big time. Just imagine a white MC Hammer without the parachute pants, and totally missing the steps to the beat.... ah well.

At least I can write and draw.

I'm curious though- usually most pieces on the site for adults do involve a bit of sex and/or profanity... and you said you didn't like that... so why did you put your age down differently?

I could give you my life story, but that'd take a while... well, probably a page or two. But keep on writing!
