grannyeri on May 12, 2006Appreciate the comment - welcome to AP, as you are fairly new here. Hope you get the chance to take some classes and learn about other styles and forms of poety. Over time you will find your style will change, as you are exposed to other's writes and new forms of poetry that is constantly being created by writers here and elsewhere. Nice to see the tophy on your mantle - remember how I felt when I won my first. A kind of acknowledgement that I was doing something right. But it's the comments that keep one going. Have to remember that not everyone will like everything you write, just as you don't like everything others write, so do not feel bad when or if you get a comment that seems harsh or very judgemental. Try not to not post because you do not think your poem is up to standards. We all set the standards here, and the challenges are good for us - helps us improve.
On that note, I know that's enough, even too much, but again, Welcome. Have fun!

I wish I had some new poetry, but I am working on a couple that just aren't being very fluid. I'm having a hard time with them. I'm not terribly prolific in my writing. I gotta work at it. I hope to "pull out" these new ones in a few days.
Thank you for your comments and encouragement! I really appreciate it! It took quite a bit for me to post the ones I have posted, you know? I have read many, many really good authors here and it is quite intimidating to lay it out there for all to see.
