I love your user ID. I wear glasses so thick that looking directly in the general direction of the sun would burn my retinas. lol.

Thnk you for the lovely comment on my poem! Its like.. referring to the smoke rings and vodka kisses... I meant that to be like a veil pulled over reality.. Bringing it to end in fantasy. We were both so in love with the idea of being in love that we fantasized about it and leaped into it before we even thought about it. Thank you again for the luffly comment! <3

thanks for the warm welcome Erika and tips on the site i plan on writing many more poems
i remember coke bottle glasses before they came out with the thinner plastic ones. i've worn glasses since about age six so went through a time with very thick lenses. i was called that by other kids at the time and for some strange reason decided to use this for a name also, it's unusual so i won't forget it myself

Welcome to this site. So new, and what a unique name you have. Remember my husband's father who had cataracts and he had these thick coke bottle glasses, as they called them then (in the 60's). Brought that back to me. Hope to read many more of your poetry in the weeks and months to come. If you find time, take a course or two to learn new forms and styles of poetry. Enter plenty of contests and take the challenge the hosts give us, and read plenty of poems and write many yourself. again - enjoy yourself, anad have fun writing!
