Hey, I like your comment/poem/time-on-AP ratio- I detect an unhurried pace, and there is something good about that... your cafe background contributed to that conclusion, as do your short titles... I'll bet you hand-write all your pieces first, with a quill pen... looking out a rustic window... lol

I'm so happy you are a fan of KAHLIL GIBRAN!!!!!!
    I loved "The Prophet"
Granted... I don't believe in God, but I think the book has so many morals a person could apply to their life religiously or non-religiously.

    Love love love it.
  • condor on November 8, 2008
Hey, do you reckon they hold onto poems that are nominated for the feature page? I nominated one of somebody's and i was told it had been excepted but i haven't seen it there at all. Do you suppose they would hang onto it for Veterans day?

This is a great site. i love all the spiritual poems you have included at the top, I will have to read them all at some point. Have you read "In the Beginning" by Dylan Thomas? I have enjoyed what I have read of your work so far and look forward to delving deeper.
    K. F.

    P. S. Have you ever heard the Jewish dictum -
"One must always carry to pieces of paper, one in each pocket. One should read "I am dust and ashes" and the other "For my sake was the world created"."
That's a paraphrasing, but i thought you might appreciate it nonetheless.

  • hks : System of a down , Boom on March 29, 2007
Ive been walking through your streets,
    Where all you moneys earning,
    Where all your biuldings crying,
    And clueless neckties working,
    Revolving fake lawn houses,
    Housing all your fears,
    Desensitized by tv,
    Overbearing advertising,
    God of consumerism,
    And all your crooked pictures,
    Looking good, mirrorism,
    Filtering information,
    For the public eye,
    Designed for profiteering,
    Your neighboor, what a guy.

    Boom, boom, boom, boom,
Every time you drop the bomb,
You kill the God your child has born.
    Boom, boom, boom, boom.

    Modern globalization,
    Coupled with condemnations,
    Unnecessary death,
    Matador corporations,
    Puppeting your frustrations,
    With the blinded flag,
    Manufacturing consent
Is the name of the game,
    The bottom line is money,
    Nobody gives a fuck.
4000 hungry children die per hour,
    From starvation,
    While billions spent on bombs,
    Create death showers.

    Boom, boom, boom, boom,
Every time you drop the bomb,
You kill the God your child has born.
    Boom, boom, boom, boom
    Boom/boom/boom/boom/boom/boom/boom

Why, why, why, why must we kill, kill, kill, kill, our own, own, own, own kind...

    Boom, boom, boom, boom,
Every time you drop the bomb,
You kill the God your child has born.
    Boom, boom, boom, boom
    Boom/boom/boom/boom/boom/boom/boom/boom
Every time you drop the bomb.
