i must apologized for not contacting you,but i spend three days in the hospital.i have a blood disorder that sometimes renders me out of it.i had an episode that was far worst than it had been in a long time.i felt it coming but it still hit me hard.i hope you don't think that i am not coming because both diamond and i was looking forward to the trip.if i'm to bring naya it will have to be when she has a day off from school and as soon as i get her oct.calender,i will be able to plan it then.i'm on bed rest as of now,but i feel a lot better than i did.please forgive me for any inconveniences i have caused you.

Hey you know you said you have unpublished books, ever thought of self-publishing? I'm getting one published now, when it's finished and you can do it all on the internet. Janice who's collaberating on the contest is helping me to do it.
  • aslanlight on September 6, 2005
Ah s'ok when I clicked on view all it showed up thankfully because I was highly confused.

You mentioned your Parkinson's disease, is there anything the doctors can do to help or is it incurable? I hope you're not suffering too much.
I'm also running a contest about Biblical healing because I've been praying for healing myself. I wonder if you'd like to enter because I love your style and enthusiasm for God.

I just read your piece "The Quiet Spirit" on Peace Chains page. I was curious what it was about until I read your bio. I bowl with a good friend who is in the early stages of Parkinson's. I have a feel for what you must be going through. You've written a beautiful poem about an extremely tough subject and time to go through. Keep up the good fight and keep writing. Take care and God Bless.

You have so much artistic talent, but then, I know you hear that a lot. But, I feel you do not drink those kinds of words in order to quench any thirst; but accept the cup to bless the one who offers it to you. Do you know Ligonier or Laurel Mountain? My family has its roots there and I have many wonderful childhood memories from there. I was once inspired to write a poem titled "Somerset County" and tried to explain how that beautiful area has never left my mind's eye. I am glad I found you here and more glad that you write.
  • M.A.King on December 3, 2004
just dropping by to see if there is a new poem posted. look at all those trophies! and every one of them deserved plus more.

I love your writing style, and I will definitely be back to read more. Sorry the system wouldn't allow me to comment on your specific poems, but I will be back when they get the system fixed. I noticed you have Parkinsons - which I didn't pick up on when I first visited your site. My Father had it in his later years, and I had an uncle that had it. My cousin also has had Parkinsons now for about 5 years, so I am very familiar with this disease. My prayers are with you.

    Best wishes,
    Hoosier writer & poet,

I accidently found one of your works and I'm certainly glad I did. I added you to my favorites. Some people stress form, structure, and meter. I personally like emotion and descriptiveness. Nothing wrong with the technical aspect of poetry. No doubt it is important, but my thought is what good is form and structure if they do not have emotion guiding and teasing the reader along the way. I can show you works that are perfect in form but emotionally dead. After I read a good work do I always remember it's perfect form??...NO. I will remember how it made me feel. I always say get the reader's attention through their senses and you will have a return-reader on your hands.
With all this being said, I just want you to know I enjoy your descriptive way of expressing yourself. You do an excellent job of drawing a perfect mental pricture.

    Read you later,
    ~Wayne
