I wanted to say hello. I hope all has been well with you over there. Wishing you happy holidays this Christmas season. I always enjoy reading your poetry. Take care, Sandy

Hello Gordi, welcome back....
-
-
I started to know you... and I'm glad that I met you
-
thanks for explaining your poem! i think that its a great idea to explain some classic works, if there is any explaination for them. sometimes i think that images are just given to us, and we dont always have the reasons for them ourselves. i think that you are on to something when you say that readers need to put their own meaning into some poems. that may well be the true heart of poetry.
please feel free to IM me anytime. i'd be honored if you would review some of my work.
God bless and hope to hear from you soon,
dee

I just wanted to stop by and thank you for your comment on "Thoughts on Love" and to read some of your poetry. I read quite a few and love the way you blend nature into so many of your poems. It shows a consistency in your style of writing, giving you a unique "voice" . That is something I am still working toward.
I always look for feeling in a poem before looking at any of the technical elements. Yours all have a wealth of feeling that I very much enjoyed. I noticed you do not welcome critical comments on your pieces, the exception being "Sleeping Love". I wonder if you checked the box accidentally? I try to respect people when they don't want a critical review, otherwise I am one of those I think you'd put in the "grammar and spelling police" category. However, I am a firm believer that if you can't find something nice to say, you shouldn't say anything at all.
I wish you all the best in your writing and look forward to reading more of your work in the future.
Thanks again for your comment,
~J.

Ah, the Shakespearian connoisseur... How might we excel to greater heights without the foundation stones, laid, of the brilliant who've gone before. As a child my greatest author was the Biblical King David, in Psalms; to me, it was like dessert which I consumed at least twice a day. Little did I know that many years later (after 5-yrs. of intensive research) I would discover that King David is my very own ancestor. William Shakespeare, however, only falls off my line from a far distant cousin sort of way. Yet so appreciated, nonetheless.
Buchan, thanks for your warn and brilliant critiquing of my last muse. You have my upmost regards and respect for your style of eloquence. My the Lord God, of Heaven and Earth, continue to bless and inspire you (and yours).
Earnest regards,
Armour-Quill

good evening from all in the UK

thanks glad you liked it , deleted some crazy comments from the grammar and spelling police , you know the kind of people no matter how heart felt the write they don't seem to read the words merely can't wait to point out all the errors within the write, i often wonder do these people realize its a poetry site and would they not be far happier reading a phone book,
all so i think its because they can't write somthing like that themselves so they attack the only way they can ,as you click on their page and read the complete non sensical drivel, theres always those that love this rubbish kind of like the emperors new clothes scenario.I thank God for people as yourself you restore my faith in man kind and my poetry.

Ah, I apologise, I thought this was the point of your motto. There is a famous poem called "Not waving but drowning" When I find out the author I'll get back to you.
-
Hello. Just dropping by to read. Your profile page is interesting. I, too, cherish Pablo Neruda's poems.
-
Sorry I didn't know what you were asking. Lot's of people when we wave at them from the sea think we are saying hello. Many times the person is drowning and we don't help.

Hi my computer is so old it won't IM for now.
Halifax is the capital of Nova Scotia. There are many paths there. The cheapest (with gas prices today?) fastest car path is 81 at Hagerstown to 84(Scranton) to 95 at Boston and route 9 from Bangor to Calais then Moncton and yeah Amherst NS. I know it by heart LOL
to save time there is a ferry that runs from Portland Maine to Yarbrough That would save you a day or 2 driving. Cape Breton is our favorite part of Nova Scotia, the Wolfville region is a must for a cajun like me, and Halifax is great fun especially if you have no kids and like to run Pubs. There are more active octogenarians in Southern Nova Scotia per capita than anywhere else in the world. It's the ideal summer vacation.
Yes My husband and I, Jaden and his wife Sprite, we are all in Richmond. Sometimes we have poetic meetings on my back deck by the grill.
and yes I write a lot about the loss of the fisheries and employment in Maritime Canada. Especially Newfoundland where the people are undeniably hearty. You just can't get those people down, no matter how much the world takes from them and how cold the climate. They're amazing. It's the very coldness of the modern world in contrast with their wit, warmth and straight-forward view of reality that fascinates me.

I have started a contest called “System Of A Down!!!” I would appreciate it if you would consider entering!! Thank you in advance!!

Thanks for the comment you left on 'The Woman I See'. You pointed something out that I really liked - "You write because you have something to say". I never really thought of it like that, but it's true. Thanks again, and God Bless.
