  I find it somewhat confusing - that you - A Bukowski fan - (and a Kerouac fan) didnt rate this as a poem (only as a "RANT") - "So you want to be a writer" for example is a total rant..yet a briliant poem..The Kerouac you quote is superb..but a lot of his narrative and plot structure was completely mundane - He had moments like sparkled like diamonds (and the zeitgeist of capturing a particular feel aka The Doors in music) a decade later - and has been panned for "The Emperors New Clothes" eve since. Do I think Bukowski was a genius? - Undoubtably- and I would never claim to be anywhere near his level as a writer. His work will go down the generations for centuries. I don't think Kerouacs will tho. He was in the right place at the right time, one of the first EVER "celebrities" - he had the looks and, for the first time ever- the liberal press could print "Rebellion" in any way shape or form. The reason "On The Road" became so popular was that it was there at the right time.(Along with James Dean, Brando etc in film) .as the contraceptive pill was on its way (figuratively speaking)..as television became more affordable..as protest in America became rife..as the memories of WW2 started to fade..
  
  Anyway I digress.
  
  I'm standing up for my own piece of work here. - Only In the context that I think - the definition "RANT" has assumed a negative quality and I find that extremely dangerous. Without "rant" there would have been no (in no particular order) French Revolution - no Jesus kicking the moneylenders out the temple - No Copernicus - No Thomas Jefferson - No Che Guevara - No Ghandi - No Darwin - No Galileo - No Nelson Madela - No Bob Dylan (name a million you know what I mean)
  
  The rant is for "Evolution" of the human psyche...The right to DEMAND better things..Many would happily rant and die than live and sew their lips together - I consider myself one of the former.
  
  So - it may not be my best work - I admit. But it is honest and it is very difficult to write about a theme one has written about for decades.
  
  However..
  
  If one person ever says "It made me think about things" then it was worth the writing in itself.
  
  Theirin lies the true integrity of writing.

  The poem in question i will tidy up. But the message I will preach through my work till I die. Plant a seed and a tree may grow. Plant complacency, lack of questioning and ignorance and only disaster will be the disciples.

  Oh I understand that, and the reason. She was pissed off cos I wouldn't give her her way. Never gave her any cause though for what she said and things.
  
  If I reported it at work my life would be made hell anyways. So really, what is the point? Might just throw a sicky in so I don't have to work with her. Cos a 12hr shift is a long time, not sure if I can put up with her for another shift having her digs and calling me fat and that again.

  As for the McCanns... Thats one thing I can't understand, how they still have the twins??
  
  No one in their right mind would go out in a strange country and leave 3 kids in an apartment drugged and by themselves. I couldn't care less if they were only just across the street... Especailly when in resorts like that they usually have baby sitting facilities.
  
  Like I said before too, why not answer all the questions they were asked? I mean yea they could have been some rather unwarrented ones in there, but still if it was your baby who'd gone missing you'd answer anything thrown at you... Or give up anything they asked you for as evidence.
  
  Plus sme of the things that was said at the beginning didn't tie in with what they are saying now.
  
  Put it this way, if one of my sisters kids ever went missing, you'd have to just totally knock her out she'd be hysterical... I think they have just gotten way too much publicity out of all this for one. Everyone wants the bairn to be ok... We would all love her to be found safe and sound. They shouldn't have left them in the first place.
  
  Which would lead to a shit load of guilt... You know i could go on and on and on. From what I have read, and seen about them. They just don't look like 2 people who have just lost a kid. To me anyways, but thats my personal opinion.
  
  Like you said, if it had been anyone else they'd be up shit creek without a paddle. I just really can't get my head around it... its just madness

  I have always said that there was something not right with those from the begining. In one sense I hope they never had anything to do with it, because i think this will take a toll on humanity, after everything people have done for them... In another sense, why aren't they co-operating with the cops? If it was my kid and I had nothing to do with her dissapearance then I would do anything they asked...
  
  Just strikes me strange how they can keep so calm, and fly around the world leavng their other 2 children with someone else. Who would let them out of their sight after what happened to them????

  I'm grand, we've got the open mic tonite as you well know! Come along if you wish or if you are waiting on Alan to nail his stuff fair enough! Can you ask him to bring me a copy of the album tonite if he can? I'm desperate to hear it and i've told a good few friends about it who want to hear it also!
  
  Did Alan mention to you about the photography? My dad is a semi-proffesional photographer and he takes pictures of Wedding's, Communion's, Birthday's etc and in the near future he would be looking for someone who could fill in for him at an event if for some reason he was unable to make it! He currently charges around about £600 for a wedding which is about half of what the majority of other photographers out there charge and obviously if you were to cover a wedding for example the £600 would be yours!
  
  Let me know what you think about that and we'll take it from there! My dad is a very nice man not a businessman so he won't be looking to take any fees or anything stupid like that from you for providing the business! You do it you get paid simple as!
