wow ur a bit of a patriot?

As a fellow Brit I felt I had to drop in and say hello ! ... I've not laughed so much from reading your rather comical observations on the ridiculous plight and pointlessness of human-kind since I listened to the last episode of 'Count Arthur Strong' on the hallowed radio waves of BBC 4 !!

Hello there, allow me to introduce you to Adamastor. That's me. I think I've just stumbled upon how I can still be Adamastor and at the same time not be accused of spamming. My idea is that I post an Adamastor style Guest Book, and then comment on a few of that individual's poetry. Success! No points can be gained from a guest book, but Adamastor still gets to be Adamastor.
I would like to thank you for the part you played in the reconciliation in all that is me. I wouldn't have done it (as quick) without you. You have saved me ten minutes of my time.
One last thing. In your quote "In my day, boys had to sit an exam at age 11 (the 11+) and the clever ones went to a good grammar school and the thick and gormless ones went to a secondary school where you wouldn't learn much but at least there was a bit of strict discipline and you learned your place at the bottom rung of society.", was that true? Since I am about 32 years younger than you, I wouldn't know, but it sure as hell does sound like a brilliant idea indeed. I bet crime would be cut by a quarter with this system!

I must say, you have me greatly entertained. Your profile has made me think of my dear Grandmother, a british woman. She had harsh veiws as well. Not saying I disagree because frankly, I don't. I have enjoyed going through your poetry and profile...
I wish you well my friend.

I see you're a good friend of Edna Sweetlove. Says a lot.
Nice front page. Total tripe, but nice.
Thank you for the inclusions in the Scottish section.
-
Hahahhaa... This is the first page EVER and i mean EVER, that ive taken the time to read everything a person writes. Your someone who should be in a 'diehard' british version movie.
-
I am Myra and I am glad you are against pedophiles ... Many souls are injured and wounded in a devastating manner by abuse.
I wish you would write lesser adult stuff and more poetry for all to read -- then I will read TOO! -- for I am sure in such way you will be able to reach children, too, with your poetry. Would you please consider that?
I am Afrikaans and English is not my mother-tongue, so please forgive me if I am not very fluent and eloquent.
All the best and happy poetry.
Myra

im sorry my last write wasn't quite the write it should have been. However, I hope my next one will be to your delight. I'm obsurdly sorry to have missed out on your latest writes; yet, I'll be sure to check them out later.
Also, I apologize if any of my english isn't up to par. I am for some reason a disgrace to my Mother tongue sometimes.
With Glamourous self indulgence,
Your's Truly

Hey there! (Yes,yes, "hey" is slang; however, I have chosen it as my greeting as it usually is. I hope I do not insult you. : P)
For a moment, I did think that your profile was serious. I am not gullible; as you know, there are actually people like that out there. Sometimes I wonder where this world is coming to! As for that silly argument above, your English is wonderful. Wow. I haven't even read your poems, yet I have already commented on your author's page. Your minuature "auto-biography" has already impressed me.

Just having a firkle around - will catch up on your writes later if you dont mind x
-
My English is perfect. At least I know how to use capitals and to avoid slang terms like "hey". Good bye. Do not communicate with me again.
-
well, let's say it's nice to imagine you're correct.
hey, as long as you're happy, who cares if you write english poorly?
-
No it shouldn't be like that. It's nice to have opinions. It's even nicer to be correct, of course.
-
"I do not approve of people who write bad English."
That should be something more like this:
"I do not approve of people who write English poorly."
Isn't it nice to have opinions?

Nermin Nazim : WOW WHAT AN INTRODUCTION YOU WROTE ABOUT YOURSELF on May 3
Well I liked it although I did not approve of some of the things you said, while I liked most of them. Loved your writing from what I read now.

Is it logical to blame God for what humans do with

BearWoman : Pleased to read your latest work on April 18
Barry~
I just finished reading "Memories of Thuringia," and I was pleased to see the improved (technical) quality of the write. It allows your broken brilliance to bountifully shine through. I look forward to reading many more twisted tales of such terrible tragedies.
Excellent work! Please keep it up!
-
You know, I think you need a night on the town, I have an aunty with a wooden leg.
She'll need to be home by seven to take her hormone replacement tablets though.

-
chills : Hello, my fave travel agent. on April 4

I respect your views good sir, but I am an American, but want to become a complete Italian someday, I desire to move to Italy so I can live where my ancestors did (Venice and Napals). I'm sorry to say that I originally approved of the war in Afghanistan and Iraq but feel that it has been overdue and greatly appreciate the support allies have given us, especially Britain. However there was a time when Britain required the assistance of the American troops or else there wouldn't have been a Britain today. I'm not saying that Britain owes the Amercian people because I don't believe that I am only saying that we helped your country survive. If America would have never joined World War II Europe would have been completely gone because of Hitler's tactics. And as far as Margaret Thatcher goes, I feel that she is partial to blame for the way the Global economy is going. Margarat Thatcher and Ronald Regan changed the world from a Kaynesian society of a Hyacekian society which was the beginning of the global downfall. However I will say she did a a good job overall besides for the help with the global mess. And, I feel that Ronald Regan was one of our better presidents. And I pray that Obama doesn't screw things up. I do believe in God and have experienced an event that sealed my belief in Him. But, I respect your stance with your beliefs and can only say the reason that God allows us humans to do the things that we do is through free-will. If man didn't have free-will then everyone would go to Heaven because they choice to do good or bad would not exist. But each person is different and each person believes in their own styles, so one must respect anothers opinions and beliefs regardless of what they are. To each his(or her) own.
-
Say what you will, it's a free country where I am, supposedly, though we have to get permits just to fix up our homes! If you want a plumber he has to be professional or you can't hire him!! Godzz I love America but when can I move down under or someplace they appreciate paid work without all the red tape and government interference, and Obama is just adding to the heap of money we now have to owe them to pay for their deficits........grrrreat country I live it , eh? Anyway, nice to read your stuff.
-
You smashed a brick in their faces you say?
You're my new hero, sir.

Hello Barry have been taking a look at your writing. Very interesting but there are so many 'memories' I found it very difficult to find anything that reflected any pain you suffered at the hands of your loved one. Sorry, but as a well brought up Brummie wench lol I was not allowed to swear and so I really don't like it used in any way around me either. I'm sorry I found your work very difficult to read because of this.
Have fun writing your continued list of memories I'm sure you will win many more trophies.
Hugs
Cherry xx

You might want to see who's blocking who's list before reading my stuff further, though I appreciate the notes.
John(not real name)

I can't sort what is the pompous drivel and what is your real profile (not that I give a rat's ass, as long as you can write -- but it's something to note) I'm sorry you are still freezing in the UK. My niece just came from London, and showed me pictures of the snows in January! Lucky me, I was actually there 18 years ago for your last one - burst pipes and all. I also remember the very grand Spring we did finally have then, and all the poetry about Spring in England deserves to be read again and again! Keep your chin up.. it will come! Lita

"Memories of Waterloo" has been done and dusted: http://allpoetry.com/poem/3104546
Many thanks for the idea of "Memories of Trafalgar" but it would be impractical as it's too far out at sea for a visit. However, your mention of the USAF has given me an idea: "Memories of Hiroshima", or even "Memories of Baghdad". "Memories of Dresden" is another distinct possibility. So far I have resisted the temptation to do "Memories of Ground Zero NYC" but I could well succumb.
-
Can't wait for "Memories from Trafalgar" and "Memories from Waterloo" which ought to be interesting reads. Thank God for the U.S. Air Force and George W. Bush in both instances.
-
Bravo on also using your real name. I feel likewise. On reading your (rather long winded) bio on this page I was minded of Neville Shute. I think he is one of the most under rated authors af all time. Let's hope you rival him. Cheers.
-
Thank you for pointing out my typo.

montez : Hi Barry... on January 11
....being so keen on writing good English, like wot I is, perhaps you would care to edit a mistake in the 1st line of your home page (above).
I think you intended to write hiding BEHIND.
Regards,
Robin.

Though I may be abit bias I think you should win every contest you enter do to the sheer brilliance of your work. Fuck if it applies to the prompt or not, it should just get a trophy.
-
can i have my points back if you not doing my poem?
-
hi i just want to say i payed you the points it is only fare that you write me the poem
-
I really enjoyed your entry for my contest
-
Barry, I read the entire of your front page, which you comically said at the end, that it was all drivel, so why write it! Sorry you were in hospital and hope you are on the mend. I read a comment you made on a poem someone wrote ""that all Jews should rot in Hell." What on earth do you have against Jews? I would truly like to discuss this with you one. BTW, are you in any way related to Hitler? Do you truly NOT believe in God? I'm not even sure, but I can tell you, there is an entity out there, that is overseeing every single galaxy.WE should all be proud of our own countries. WE might not necessarily agree with their politics, but I am a proud American, do not support our leaders, yet honor the troops who are doing the jobs they were given. Lets talk.
