Hi Susan Guess what? You’ve been ambushed! The group, ‘The Poetic Bandits’ do something called Hood-Wink, where we all come together with one chosen poet and comment on their poetry. You were the chosen poet. Hope you were encouraged by this and found it to be a blessing. Keep up the great writing and thank you for your contributions through poetry on this site...

    All the best...

    Sorry Glitter Graphics

I am so sorry for your loss of your mother. I know this pain all to well not of my mother but of my brother at 36 and last Sept 2 my husbands father who we lost to colon cancer. My husbands dad was like a father too me I still have not gotten over losing him or my brother, but the days have gotten a little easier. My husband after his dad passed said that he was not gone that we all would have to get used to him being in another form that he would always be with us watching over and taking care from heaven. My brother died at 36 for diabeties I had just found him the year before right before Christmas he was adopted when he was born I searched for many years until I found him. I used to get mad because I did not find him sooner but then I would think that I was lucky to have found him at all. I guess what I am trying to say is that the pain is always with us and probably will always be, but we do learn how to live with it and go on for them. If you ever need to talk I am here. Just keep them close to your heart and your hope and faith alive. God loves you and so do I. *hug* Theresa

May you be gifted with that rare art, of never finding your wants excessive to your needs. Oh and continue writing ... it's what one does in the process of becoming a poet!

I was just wondering how you were doing, and how your husband was doing. Figured I would drop you a line to let you know we are all still here when life permits your return, hopefully it will be on positive circumstances.

What a beautiful tribute to 'Granny'. It amazes me 'how thin the vale' while attending a passing loved one. I have never felt closer to eternity than I did at the passing of my father a number of years ago. I was called to his bedside several hours before he died. My mother, my sister and my daughter were all there. Although my dad seem to sleep all the time, because of the sedation, just before he passed away he opened his eyes turned and looked passed us to an empty corner of the room. His manner was calm, all the pain had left his face, he seemed to recognize another visitor entering the room. I knew the look for he was my father. The spirit testified to me that he was welcoming a loved one, perhaps his mother, who had come to take him home. Then he was gone. It was a moving experience for us, it especially touched my daughter who was 16 at the time.
Thank you for the lovely tribute you gave to my poem "I Found Him Not". I am going to take some time now to read some of the poems you have submitted and invite you to read some of mine.

    Dave
