But an eternity of silent meanings.
To me they speak of a thousand memories
Ghosts of recently revived feelings.
We were younger then, pure at heart,
We gave up too much without knowing,
I gave you up with no shield of detemination
Why hadn't I stopped you then from going?
Five years older and with a life of my own,
To another man my life did I surrender,
Then WHY did you meet me after 1845 days,
Realizing how we still share a love so tender?
I read your poems now with a helpless longing,
My heart stops with each word I progress
A certain poem written in 2002
Why did you wait four years now to confess?
I love you MORE now,but that is all I can do
Love triples everytime I hear you whispering my name
The goosebumps you give tell no wicked lies,
I will be silent,for silence is the voice of my pain

but I 'Think' about you now and again

atia on December 20, 2001thank you so much for your comments on my poems. They're really appreciated. Infact, just what I needed today :) I don't know how my poems turn up the way they do. I just write whatever comes to mind and most times I don't think it's all that great but I still love it for the fact that it's mine.. Does that make sense? Am looking forward to reading some of your stuff..
