We should all seek something… words; love; truth; purity; a good stiff ~ ah ~ drink…

The angel’s I am searching for don’t have corporal form. They are found in God’s truths. The truth I see in the height of passion. In my child’s eyes. In an orchid blossom. In the moon as it waxes and wanes. In gray hair and wrinkles. In snow covered mountains. In a grain of sand. If I see the splendor in these things, then I have communed with angels.
  • N.E.Haymanali on November 15, 2008
Yeah, go on to seek an angel inside of you. No angel on earth, unfortunately.

    Have a angelic day !

A challenge here, oh me, oh my
now I must try and try and try
    to write a griping masterpiece
that gives the reader sweet release

It doesn’t matter, I’ve not slept
or that I’m really not adept
at putting words upon the page
I have been beckoned to the stage

The dare is called; the gauntlet thrown
my pencil’s point I’d better hone
For if I don’t an entry place
With shame I’ll have to hide my face.

My foolish pride I now must curse
to boast that I could write in verse.

Re: I can write a masterpiece right off the top of my head. Right now. Just a sec. I'm sure I can do it. Um... Let me think about it for a little while. OK so maybe it's not quite as easy as I thought, but I'd love to give it a try.
    ---------------------------------

    I expect a wonderous write
Even if it takes all night
You should try with all your might
Maybe you can get it right

I'll write all my entrants this way
I won't favor any person, so hey
What you do and what you say
Must be superb in every way!

    Grin,
    Ellis

I hope you and Joe get your baby.
I know how you feel in wanting a child. (read your Bio) I always expected to become a mother myself, but I was in my teen's when myt mother got sick, then 19 when she finally passed, I ended up raising my younger siblings,( so in a way I did get the mother experience) by the time they were both settled and I found my husband ( my one other relationship could not withstand the stress of the financial and emotional obligations I had to my siblings) I was in my mid 30's. I have been trying for a year to have a child but think I left it to late. Maybe being a mother to my siblings and an honorary "Grandma" to their children is as close as I will get. I can accept that (with some grief, but no regret) because I truthfully would not trade a minute spent on my siblings.

    Love and best wishes,

    Angela

I think I've found a friend! If you take a look at my author's page, you'll see our little wolf, Szievesen. My husband and I are also passionate about wolves, and you know my story of infertility. It's a very difficult life to want something so bad and not be able to have it. I'm going to add you to my favorites list!

I am an idiot and I've completely lost the poem of yours that I read. It was the one about autumn. I especially liked the visual of one's toes curling under the massage of the fallen leaves. Thank you for your kind comments- I'll check out more of your writing

thank you for your nice comment on my poem "stereotyped". i know it's rather long, but what can i say, i wrote it down as it came to me, expressing all the emotion i could. i'm going to work on it, and try to shorten it..separate into stanzas and such...but for now, it's just the raw feelings
    thanks again

  • AngelSeeker on October 11, 2004
Thank you for visiting my authors page. I have always loved angels and for years I collected them; that’s how I came up with my online name. The wolf represents my husband I have called Wolf from early in our relationship… We both have a great affinity for wolves. You may notice that I write a lot of poetry about wolves. I also have a poem about a wolf and an angel called “Rapture’s Fire” I wrote it about my relationship with Joe when I felt that our love was more of a curse then a blessing. It seemed at the time that for all the pleasure being together brought me, I suffered agonizing pain when we were apart. Joe tells me I’m an angel an his wolfette. I had his wedding ring inscribed with “My Wolf ~ My soul mate” He was going to inscribe mine, but they told us the band was too thin. Thanks again ~ Patti ~

After reading your poem about being manic-depressive, I knew I had to come visit your page. I was not surprised that your bio sounds like it could be about me as well. LOL Well, I am adding you to my faves list and plan on reading more of your poetry
  • Hoosierpoet on July 13, 2004
Yes, I do the same thing you do - some of my best work happens "all at once" and then there are those I work with for months, even years, and can't ever seem to get right. I enjoyed your poem "Worth" in my contest - wonderful meter and beautiful words. I'll leave a comment by your poem later.

    Best wishes,
    Hoosier writer & poet,
    Moses L. Hochstetler

A Kay Hooper fan huh? Well I'm a Nora Roberts fan myself, but Kay is good too. I will be off in just a second to read a couple of your poems. I'm sure you will WOW my socks off. By judging from the trophies you have...you've WOWed quite a few here. I invite you to read some of mine and let me know what you think.

Thankyou very much for the bronse award for my "Consolation".
I didn't expect any prize for what is a nasty poem, but I hoped it would give you a laugh and cheer you up a bit.
All the best to you both for your future and you will soon put it all behind you.
    Love, XXX Hugh.

hi, im new, only two poems so far. and congrats on the throphy. BTW can you tell me a lil bit more bout dis site? plz! plz! plz!
  • AngelSeeker on June 11, 2004
    Dear Ray,
Thank you for your comments on my poetry. I’m glad that you enjoy my work. While it’s true that I do write a lot of poetry for contests, that doesn’t mean that most of my words don’t apply to my life. Sometimes I’ll have an idea in my head for a poem or I’ll just have the urge to write… but I can’t seem to get the poem onto paper. When this happens I’ll look thru the contest list just to see if something sparks my interest. Sometimes when I looking I’ll come across a contest (and hopefully find that they allow pre-writes) that is perfect for a poem I’ve already written. When this happens it gives me a chance to post my poem where there is more of a chance that the person reading it may have a little more interest (like with my wolf and vampire poems) then if I just post it anywhere. The contests posted on this site are a great way to focus and challenge your mind. And once in a while I even try to write a poem about something that’s foreign to me. This forces me to explore new ideas and ways of thinking about things. Even then “deep down” some part of myself has been written into the work. I hope this helps you to understand why I enter so many contests. Thank you for taking the time to read my poetry. Patti

Hi there AngelSeeker, Congrates to you and your honey!
Sorry to read about the whole wedding gone bad, but you still have the most important dream that you now live, your man, your love! And for that, I'm happy for you! I do know how it feels to be betrayed, and that's not something I care to ever repeat, by anyone, lol... But I hope you recover soon, I know in truth, it takes some time, and hopefully that will do it even, lol...If not, we would all be crazy, well, I think we all are a little, heehee! I appreciate you sharing, and being you!

Much love, and take care sweet soul!
    -Timothy

i've been reading your poetry and it is amazing, you are truly talented, i cant help but notice how many awards you have won, you deserve every last one of them... so many of your poems are written for contests, and while they are brilliant i would love to see you write for yourself- about the things that are important to you, the things in your life that inspire you. i find that poetry means so much more when it gives you an insight to the author...

Hi Patti, thanks for the comments on Vowel Movements. I haven't received many, maybe the metaphor is too crude. I dunno, I thought it was funny, yet accurate. Oh well, thanks for stopping by and reading it.

Thanks for commenting on my cinquain. Nice (& accurate) deduction - you're a Sherlock Holmes in the making.

I agree, wolves are the best. In many cases, better than people...
