I have several poems about the Lord of the Rings, if you want to look at any of them -- just let me know and I'll send you the urls. The poems don't relate to your theme for the contest, so I can't enter them.

Good luck with the contest anyway.

    I just stopped by today
Hope you are having a wonderful day
    That's festive and really gay
Because I would have it no other way

    Champagne at midnight...bootie call,
watch our for St. Nick, he ain't that tall
Drink moderately so you don't fall
And if you're quesy--lean against the wall

What started out as a little note
Became a poem the size of a boat
    My head is medically afloat
My dog has now turned into a goat

    Happy Holidays Gregg

Good morning, Andu. I had to write you, as you have given my Father and I a COMPLETE night of laughter; and I thank you! I am still laughing this morning. After entering your contest to "Bash your Poem", this 'creation' you wrote has been going through our minds over and over again. I don't think we have ever read anything so hysterical; ever! This has got to be one of the best and most creative contest ideas I've ever seen. I am just disappointed that nobody else has taken the time to elaborate upon this and REALLY have some fun with it and dissect this 'thing'. I truly enjoyed spending a bit of time on this as the tears of laughter were streaming down my face for an hour while trying to write up my comments.

Thank you for hosting this contest and thinking up this most creative idea. Have a safe and beautiful week, Hon!

    Many blessings and s

    ~ Becky ~

Very nice page here, Anduril! I'll have to check out your LOTR spoofs! The three years the movies were in process that's all my wife read! Me? I created an entire Middle Earth world in 3D from a video game so I too could create LOTR art!!! So a nice Hobbit greeting to you!

Hi Andu - just entered your art gallery contest - great pictures by the way - and visited your page.... I too am a lover of LOTR, after years of thinking it was a book only my nerdy brother would read I picked it up. I'm now half a book off the end, and I'll be devastated when it ends!! I wrote a poem - 'Fated' - in LOTR's honour, I'd appreciate it if you'd stop by and let me know what you think. All the very best to you and your beautiful country. xx Rach xx

Hi Andu! It's great to read your page and the background is really nice. I am beaming from ear to ear ever since I read that you are from Malta! It's a beautiful place, isn't it? I would like to invite you to read this poem on Malta:

  • NeferMaatNetjer on June 30, 2005
You're from MALTA! That is so interesting! there is a lot of history there. I remember a wargame I once played called "Operation Herkules", which was about a planned, but never actually executed, invasion of Malta. I played the German/ Italian forces. I lost. Malta was just too tough.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it, most people don't even know it exists! Yes, it does have it's charm, but after a while it does get kinda small

I thank you for the comment on 'Suffocation.' I really and truly appreciate it. About the Blind Man-Hero thing, I was first showing it to prove that the world is full of people who, though it may seem odd at first glance, suffer from horrible things like depression, hence the 'suffocation' title. I'm really glad you liked it! Thank you!

Finding true Tolkein fanatics is always wonderful, it always makes me smile to see that somebody loves it so much like I do. I'm eagerly going forth to read your work. Oh and of course, good job on the background. ^^
  • thelordreigns on April 13, 2005
Yes....I have been a Tolkien fanatic for about 30 years now. I found the triology when I was a graduate student and it's been my solace and my safe secret place in very good and very bad times. I am so happy to find someone else who love the fantasy as much as I do. I look forward to reading your work! - joanne

I love your homepage. I enjoy reading your work very much. I am going to add you to my favorites. Your imagination is outstanding. You are a fantastic writer for one so young--
  • CoolHandLuke on March 21, 2005
Never seen Lord of the Rings?
    Is it worth the time?
    Are the books better?
  • chibi-kaiyaska on March 19, 2005
Moshi moshi Andu-san! LOTR is the best and J.R.R Tolkien...*worships grave* Yeah, school does take away time. I'm not in a university yet, I will gradute in 2006...but it still takes you away form AP....stupid research papers...

    "What's happening out there?"
"You you like me to describe it to you? Or would you like me to find you a box?"
  • DistantWorld on February 22, 2005
Hello Andu!!!! I haven't heard from you in a long time, much to long for my taste, how are you doing? I am fine and well and in case you didn't know I won the contest. I am so surprised. It took me forever to think that sory up, as you well know I have trouble with song fic's. anyway, write me sometime and lets trade reads, I would enjoy that. I can only get on on weekends though, so I probably won't be on for another couple of days, but talk to me soon.

~Sweet water and light laughter until next we meet~

Thank you for taking the time to reand and critique my scribblings, your input is important to me.
No, the hardware is not evident.
I'm either working on a tea set or having a pre-ride relationship with Paul Revere.
I would be honored if you would enter my 1st contest which has begun.
    Be well;

  • Zaffen on October 28, 2004
Ah, another soul enrapture by the scribblings of the master of fantasy, J.R.R. Tolkien.
Thank you for your kind words.
The old childrens rhyme, when you get to be my age , of Rich man, poor man, begger man, thief..........is what inspired the piece.
I have to admit, I'm not a poet. I don't know from beans about what is right in rhyme or meter. Nor do I know the different "forms" whatever they may be.
Instead it's just drainage from an old cracked recepticle that managed to find it's way to paper in a semblence of recognizable form.
    Be well;
    Zaffen

I also like J.R.R. Tolkien, and it is kind of rare to find a woman that places him among her favorite authors. It is nice to have met you on here, and I will be sure to come back and read more of your work.

    Best wishes,
    Hoosier (Indiana) writer and poet,
