The problem with writing a lot is cynicism and familiarity. If you stick to one core theme or subject you have to find new ways of saying it or it becomes blasé and boring (to you). There will be periods when that 'beauty and enotion and swirling' will return. Try doing something radically different. good luck

I've got a political contest I'd like you to enter
  • Morgana on September 29, 2004
Your beliefs on government are your own, and people don't have the right to judge you for that. I myself am not republican, but I've learned that it doesn't matter what side you take in elections as far as kindness and consideration goes. People are people, right? Congrats for winning the emulation contest btw! And as for your poetry's quality decreasing...I guess everyone has that point in time when they just start to lose it....it always comes back though so don't worry! Btw, I'm only 14, and I hate it when people stomp on my views and beliefs; especially when their only basis for it is age.

hey, if you're going to enter my emulation contest, time is running out and if you have time, i'd really appreciate your entry seeing as you actually know what an emulation is, lol, more than i can say for a few people in my contest now. Cheers, Kat

Most people seem to think that they have the right to lecture me and treat me as if I was a two year old who has no clue what is going on, just because I'm fifteen. Thank you for not trying to change my beliefs, that really means a lot. And I've always wanted to run for office, ever since I saw Clinton's trial, I've always wanted to run because it was a shock that the government could be so corrupt and I've wanted to change it.
  • Romhain on September 4, 2004
I would never dream of changing or trying to change your views...who's to say who's right in the end anyway? At leat you state them intellegently, that's more than most can say.

Well Aislinn is a pretty name! And I'll have to check back on your page later when I can. I'm just so busy and got to get everything straight before I can focus on reading at this site.
  • Aislinn-Marie on June 27, 2004
Yeah, I'm a Republican...I'm a pretty extreme Republican also, I've been basically for about three years when I started getting interested into politics. I wish I could vote, only three more years! Yeah, people who are biased on contests make me angry, so I'm just going to read poetry, then decide. I don't even think I'll look at the names. Well, it's not my first name. Aislinn is my middle name and I just like the name Marie. Everybody calls me Aislinn though! Thanks for saying it's pretty!

    Hm,

President Bush, you say? Well, I don't know, I'm not a Democrat though and don't plan on voting for them. Clinton was, well, um...need I say more. I'm not for or against either party at the moment.

And glad to see your not biased on contests. Whoo hoo!!!

Just passing through. Your screen name was pretty and that's why. It's your real name isn't it?

    Dirty Republicans...
  • KaseyL on June 27, 2004
You are soooo right about that Bush thing!!! I hate it when people try to change my mind, I mean Bush is a good president...I did not like Clinton and if I was old enough I would've voted for Bush most definitely now and then.
  • Aislinn-Marie on June 27, 2004
Haha, would that other country be Canada? It's okay that you don't like President Bush, everybody has their own opinion, but I'm glad that you won't try to change my opinion.

I love your authors blurb. Nice to see some Proud Americans that actually like your president. I don't but thats because I come from... the other country. I shall not utter it here.
