wow... after reading your comment on my poem i decided to check out your page. it's so crazy, you're just like me!!! well, i'm not too active with the outdoors anymore cuz my parents decided we should live in town by sooo many people. i never really thought about the term Christian. your point is well made. no person can be like Christ. i have this thing with the media too.i hate being told what to think. really. ok, i'll shut up. awesome author page. will look at poetry now so i can continually bug you.

Hehe. We seem to have a lot of similar interests. Thank you so much for your comment on Still A Child. It meant so much to me. I really appreciate it. You seem like a very intelligent person... the world needs more of those.

    Blessed Be

    Hi!
Just trying to introduce myself to all the members. This place has really been thriving, hasn't it?! My question as a greeter is simply for credit reasons. Did you find AllPoetry on the web, or did someone refer you? If the latter, who was it? I'm going to throw him some points!I hope to read you sometime!! Bless you this year. -- CookieZeal

But see...it says that you visited my page 2 days ago and...I didn't visit your page until yesterday so it doesn't make sense that...yeah. Weird. yeah...funny I wasn't sure if you'd determined I was a freak or not. You know, talking is a skill you should develop ..it really helps you to meet more people! (jokes jokes) Anyhoo yeah.

Yes just a bit of my sarcasm, but really it was mostly me trying to be funny.. im not too great at it with words just in person and i visited you cus you visited me.
Edited on Jan 07, 3:42 because 'added more'.
  • Agapetos00 on January 6, 2004
Is that sarcasm? I just wandered onto your page...and lo and behold there you are wandering onto my page...a long time ago though. What shall I do to make my page more interesting for ya? not that I'd conform to anything someone else wanted anyway but I'm all open to suggestions.
Edited on Jan 06, 9:33 p.m. because 'I forgot the t and the s right there and there!'.

Maybe we have you've gone through some of the same things and little things..

My ultimate goal in life is have people recognize who I am and where I am coming from in a lot of different aspects of life..

And, I know.. I am not alone in this world.. And I would gladly like to talk to you.. Do you have aim or aol or something. Maybe we could talk about things. I am a person looking for a lot of different stuff.. Anyway.. Let me know..

I used to play the violin, then I moved and had to give it up because there wasn't an orchestra class. I wish I still played, I enjoyed it and I was good too. Keep playing and writing, don't give it up, you'll have no idea how much you'll miss it. I'm a christian, too, and all my stories are moral, which some of those here aren't. Keep writing, I'm off to read some of yours.

hey kim - i just read your author page! - its cool to get your thoughts down on paper - i guess its kinda like talking about them and getting them all off your chest!

i dont think its our place to understand everything(yet)..we just have to act on what we know-and accept thats how it is...there are loads of unanswered questions about god - there always will be (if god made the rules...then it was up to him how much we are able to understand...and the extent to which we have faith). I think its unfair to talk about the 'probability' we are right - as alot of non-christians do - again, since if god exists..he made the rules..he can define that very probability - the liklihood is entirely dependant on the outcome...so we cant prove anything for certain. All we can do is define a possibility...and i think logically..all possibilities with respect to the beginning have to be equally likely..

science, evolution and the theories about the singularity (beginning/big bang/string theory/membrane theory etc) dont disprove god...infact.....ive been studying them in physics..and they have strengthened my faith!! - because no matter how far back you go, and how detailed your explanation is - you can never answer the question 'how did something come from nothing in the first place'...which i feel must precede the argument that 'the universe always existed' - i think the only way it can be explained is by a level of understanding outside our existance - i.e. God...its just so complex and beautiful .... i think that the two theories are equally viable if you look at it purely as a probability.

But then we get on to the reasons most christians found god - not because they were convinced by probability, or thought 'oh - this theory makes more sense than that one' but because theyve found that god met them on a personal level - at the stage in their life that they were at ...and in doing so discovered that he was real...thats how i became a christian, and its why i find testimonys are so powerful.

I think if we've decided god is real - then weve realised that he writes the rules and not us - if we choose his way over our own...then we have to start surrendering our rights, and letting god do what he wants with them - because we have to do that if we are to live the way he wants us too....and if we dont live as he tells us too, or dont try to...then we won't get any closer to him - and we might wonder why god seems distant..without trying to get any closer...

god blesses us when we give back to him the things he gave us - he blesses us for wanting to find him, but to follow jesus isnt to accept a paradise - its to accept that in the long term, his way will bring us closer to god...and that we will find the paradise in heaven....on this earth - its up to him..he wont leave us if we stay focused on him - and by following him we will live the life he designed us to live - the life that will be most fulfilling, afterall - if anyone knows how to satisfy the desires of our hearts...its the guy who put them there

anyway...i got carried away writing a full on entire definition of christianity when you probably dont need to hear it all - but it cleared up some of my thoughts in the process lol

so anyway take care, god bless you

I just thought I would comment because I read your author info and you said you enjoyed speech and drama. That is very very exciting to me because I am also very involved in speech and drama, and have been doing it for 19 years. My mom teaches speech arts and drama for a living.. anyways, good luck to you!

Thank you for your comment on my poem. I beliefs arrived later in my life. I don't really expect you to agree with my thoughts, you are really much to young to understand how I feel. As we get older we just learn to be careful about how we use our energy.

It's me again! Well, the "Wizard of Oz" had some interesting memories for us all... True, a lot of the jokes are cheesy, but they're still funny... Our Wicked Witch of the West said the "You call that long?" line perfectly, and we had a guy deliver the "Let's get 'em girls!" line for the trees... Then again, I was backstage for half the time and I wanted to hurt a few unruly cast members... The director wouldn't let, me, though.. Ah, well... Next year, I'll have more power...
