Excepting sunrise glorious
As first light, radiant orange -

Silvered beads
crown each petal; -
I was walking through a dark and dismal area
one that so well, matched the mood of my life. -
children ill-equipped to comprehend
the complexity of nature.

The night brings a tune,
its stage lit by the moon -
sun denied
lightning and thunder cried -
He slicked back his thick pompadour
And rose regally to his feet -
Parting the tender way for Fall,
tan blades of crunchy grass kneel, -
meeting somewhere
cleaning paws and ears -
We see him in the moonlight
keeping the world in his sight -
Canada geese fly by,
honking like I’m in the way, -
