I evolve in my writing and usually allows the choice of work to determine my molding.I like fast paced, harmonious writings where a tread or two links the entire work.

I appreciate deep and inspirational works.I  appreciate good humour and  enjoy love poetry that touches, I mean really touches.

I was recently driving home when I realised the deep rooted motivation for the choice of the title of my recent book  'Snatch a victory' which was published by iuniverse - I had gotten the title on my waking moments one rainy morning.I had instantly written the  title poem then. Now  I  knew my true motivation, hidden in my subconscious mind-it was the empathy and love I had for my Dad.My Dad and I never really had a robust relationship;he was tensely strict and habitually harsh.Faraway, I found I thought of him and all he said.I saw that he loved me.I saw that I cared for him now more than before, especially since he has a debilitating illness.I realised he meant well all those years.People say my book 'snatch a victory' is deeply inspirational, but I was simply writing what I felt, knew and saw.

I appreciate the work of Marcus Aurelius- a part of his work goes like this:

Revere the highest power of the universe

the power that makes use of all things and presides over all.And likewise revere the highest power in yourself and this power is of one kind with the other. For in yourself too, this is what makes use of all else. and your life is governed by it.

What causes no harm to the city causes no harm to the citizen.Every time that the idea occurs to you that you have been harmed, apply this rule,'if the community is not harmed by this, neither am I'....

There is much to say- let me pause for now.

A lovely tribute to your dad, I just saw my dad again this summer after 10 years or so..sporatic, and emtionally taxing relationship to say the least. He is dying of lung cancer, so as I told everyone, my visit was more for me than anyone. And, I'm soo glad I went, I never stopped loving him, I just didn't know how to love myself in the process. Still learning, but getting there. Bless you and yours my friend. Now...how about that dance!
