    I think you have potential but just haven't tapped into it quite yet. You could do so much more than cliched poetry, but you'll grow into your writing as you continue practising. I'm living proof of that. I began writing prose a year ago, which was horrible, but I'm so much better now.

    I'd suggest reading from the masters at oldpoetry.com. You can learn so much about poetry by actually reading it (and don't read from allpoetry.com; half this stuff is pure crap and not poetry).
