It's like taking pictures of yourself over and over again. Some are good and some are bad. But by the end of the day, after you've taken hundreds of pictures and picked out the best ones, you know that is as good as it gets. That's how it is, there is no way of truthfully making yourself look or feel better. But then you drop the camera and see an accidental flash. And you've captured something magical.
