I'd travel all the way to Kentucky just to hug you Dakota!


I'm sorry that I've been slacking on my duties as a poet (well, a rather bad one). It's just that I've been so busy lately and I haven't had the chance to write lately. On the back of my bedrom door, I have alot of songs that I've yet to put up on AllPoetry, but Maybe I'll get a chance soon. If you'd like, feel free to read some of my old poems, they're not great, but they're a part of me.



Please comment my poems, I want to see what to work on, because I really want to get better. Thanks in advance.

SMILE FOR ME

I put copyrights and dates and all that on my poetry, I mail them to myself to prevent plagarism, don't even try to take my poems, it's a criminal offence, not like you'd want to, they're not "taking" material

Rictameter is a scheme similar to Cinquain. Starting your first line with a two syllable word, you then consecutively increase the number of syllables per line by two. i.e. 2,4,6,8,10 Then down again, 8,6,4,2 Making the final line the same two syllable word you began with.

Tyburn

A six line poem consisting of 2, 2, 2, 2, 9, 9 syllables. The first four lines rhyme and are all descriptive words. The last two lines rhyme and incorporate the first, second, third, and fourth lines as the 5th through 8th syllables.

FRIENDS: FAKE OR REAL????
FAKE FRIENDS: try to make you do sumthing you don't want to regret
REAL FRIENDS: are the reason you don't have regrets

FAKE FRIENDS: bail you out of jail and tell you what you did was wrong

FAKE FRIENDS: never ask for food
REAL FRIENDS: are the reasons you never have food
FAKE FRIENDS: borrow your stuff for a few days then give it back
REAL FRIENDS: keep you stuff so long they forget it's yours
FAKE FRIENDS: know a few things about you
REAL FRIENDS: could write a book about you with direct quotes from you
FAKE FRIENDS: will leave you behind if that is what the crowd is doing
REAL FRIENDS: will kick the whole crowds a$$ that left you
FAKE FRIENDS: would knock on your front door
REAL FRIENDS: walk right in and say "I'M HOME!!"
FAKE FRIENDS: are for a while
REAL FRIENDS: are for life
FAKE FRIENDS: will take you take your drink when they think you've had
enough.
REAL FRIENDS: will look at you stumbling all over the place and say "Bitch
drink the rest of that you know we don't waste shit"
FAKE FRIENDS: will talk shit to the person who talks shit about you
REAL FRIENDS: will knock them out
FAKE FRIENDS: would ignore this
REAL FRIENDS: will send this to all their real friends and hope to get it
back
