hey people!!! My name is..... well thats to hard to say so start again, Hey peoples my nickname is Nukes, you know like that nuclear bomb? yep thats me *smile* Im a 11th grader and taking more subjects then i would like but hey cant have everything we want can we!?!?! im not really a writer (as you can see) but i love reading poems and writing some every now and then. i like music and really want to get singing/voice lessons and with a cowgirl hat i look a bit like Shania Twain (though no relations unfortunatly). Um i cant think of anything else to say so if you got any questions message me please. thank you!!!!
Hey this is one of my Favorite poems:
It Couldn't Be Done

Somebody said that it couldn't be done,
But he with a chuckle replied
That "maybe it couldnt," but he would be one
Who wouldn't say so till he'd tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and he did it.
Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it";
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
And the first thing we knew he'd begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and he did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start in to sing as you tackle the thing
That "cannot be done," and you'll do it.
why do people judge others before getting to know them? why judge at all? most of the time the faults you see in them reflect your own! Don't you think a better world would be no one is judged by looks or skin or fashion?!?! the world can only be changed in one way- the people in it have to want change and then get up and start the change and possibly fight for it- its not going to happen otherwise. we need to act as one because thats what we are; one world, one species and working together can be nation!!
