Smitty1988Show poetry

poetry has always been a *big* part of my life.  my mother was diagnosed with clinical depression when i was five and she was very sick for many years.  since then my brother, sister, and myself have all been diagnosed and poetry has provided me with a healthy way of expressing myself.

anyway.  i am a young gay man trapped in the bible belt, so i have lots to write about.  i came out my sophmore year of high school after one last valiant attempt at being straight.  my family and i had always supported gay rights but still it was hard for me to accept who i am.  as it turns out my parents had realized i was gay when i was quite young.  they bought me tons of books about boys who wanted dolls and bulls sitting under cork trees (was it that obvious?).  anyway, i've been happy ever since.

for those music lovers out there, i highly recommend the "Scissor Sisters."  they are awsome!!!

so i read that oldpoetry translating thing too... but i wouldn't agree that you are FLUENT. that is a bigger implication than you are at a level with. you are good though, i'll give you that..
i'm just curious. you think you could fluently translate poetry? seems a crazy mess to me...
