SilicaShow poetry

I should like to take this opportunity to apologise to all the many fine writers on this site that I have not yet got around to commenting on… and even more profuse apologies to those I have…

Silica is small, often yellow and gritty – may get into awkward spots and irritate. On the other hand; looks good on the beach and very smoothing on paper…

A pome (English), living in New Zealand.

I AM NOT A POET! But a wordsmith and with a heavy headed hammer, hew the hues into place, against an immovable iridium anvil. I will make the buggers fit if it kills them!

I AM NOT A POET… I am a failed poet¡! I have moved a few people to tears… and made a few people laugh – but far from all… and never at the same time¡!

“It depends,” said Humpty Dumpty, “Who is to be the master… you or the words.” Lewis Carroll 'Through The Looking-Glass (And What Alice Found There)'

‘Human speech is like a cracked tin kettle, on which we hammer out tunes to make bears dance when we long to move the stars.’ Gustave Flaubert, ‘Madame Bovary’
