My name is Melissa I've been writing since I was a kid on and off and recently became more involved with poetry as an outlet to dealing with Mental Illness. I've been misdiagnosed on a number of occasions and right now I really don't know who I am. Over the past couple of years I've recently been drawn to the dark/gothic cultures (not fully transformed) I feel that if I explore this side of me I can really get in deep into my psyche and possibly recover my lost self. I know there are hundreds of ways to find oneself poetry just crept up on me. I guess its poetry vs. pills. Anyways, I'm glad I found this site and I hope to read and write some great things here and meet some cool people. Yes I'm also addicted to myspace but looking to branch out.
