Dreamer
-by Poems from the Pit
You dreamt
you were a worker bee
Infused
In a trance-like
State of glee
You went to work
Where you walked
In sleep
(So careful not to make a peep)
Wired, tired— all but retired…
It’s only when done
You felt inspired
That’s when at last
You unfurled your sail
Those wings…
Made more of shade
Than pearl
You punched the clock
in a nightmare haze
Unfazed by moon
Or star-lit rays
... And awoke at home
To find your pen
Just a silent bee
And her best friend
~~~****~~~
"Laugh your heart out
Dance in the rain
Cherish the memories
Ignore the pain
Love and learn
Forget and forgive
Because remember you only have
ONE LIFE TO LIVE"
Welcome to my poetry site, my place to express myself and to allow readers to see into my life.
Some background on me:
My name is Bee...I am 21 years old, from California. Black hair, blue eyes...I have an awesome soon-to-be husband. I could not ask for more from him. He has been there for me through thick and thin, my good days and my bad days. I love him to death, and our *children* too (our 2 dogs and our cat). I am a nurse. I have spent the last 9 months caring for the developmentally disabled. This has been a job that I have come to love and have found very rewarding! My main interests are writing (since I was a little girl), and music. I also enjoy scrapbooking!
So about my poems:
All of my poems (with a few exceptions) are straight from the heart, true feelings. These feelings range from the love of my life, to the depression I have faced and been dealing with.
My poems are very personal. Some are very dark, while others are just sweet and happy moments. My love poems are written about my fiance, my soulmate.
Some of my darker poetry has been thought to have been written about relationships, etc. The truth is that underlying the words, my inspiration to write such pieces of depression and sorrow has come from my battle with severe endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome and the many doctors I have dealt with who wouldn't help me, and my fight for help from them. (for example my poem "The Loud Silence" http://allpoetry.com/poem/2594990 ) ... at least I was lucky enough to find one doctor who cared and did something for me...
I hope that you enjoy reading my poetry, and comments are greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
