I began writing poetry as a child, it was my way to express all of the things I was feeling, and often did not understand. That has not changed much since then. Whenever I need an escape, I simply pick up a pen, or open an empty notepad, and begin to write. The good, the bad, the horrible, the not so horrible, and everything in between eventually finds it way to paper. Poetry has seen me through some pretty rough times... From the brain tumor scare as a teen, to the more recent infertility journey. It's all there.

I'm 24 years old. I live in Little Rock, Arkansas with my husband, sister, two nephews, a niece and our furbabies. I am a peer advisor with my college, and absolutely love the work. I am a full time student and have nearly completed my Bachelor's in Criminal Justice/Forensic Psychology. I volunteer my heart out. I am Pagan.

I believe strongly that all paths lead to the Divine and should be treated with respect (as should all people). I'm a child at heart. I'm a dreamer. I'm a happy person. I'm a thinker. I enjoy reading, writing, dancing, swimming, playing tennis, watching soccer, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and Nature. I have a weakness for the elderly, children and animals. I detest early mornings, and close minded individuals. I hate to say no, to be bored, and to get up in the early morning.

My mind is hazy
as a misty morning field
My heart is open
as encompassing as the sky
My dreams are endless
as far as the eye can see
My story is untold
as untold as can be
My life stretches before me
as beautiful as the sea.
The possibilities are endless
as I pick up my pen.
Where will this journey lead me?
What will come in the end?
