hey i'm shayenne mitchell, but please call me shay. i'm 18 and i live in Idaho. i've been writing poetry for a few years, and i do it to help my confused feelings, and let others express their fears through my poems. i'm sorry if that doesn't make sense, ha. if you've read a few of my poems, you can probably guess that i used to be a cutter. it used to be my only release for all my emotions. but i finally beat that addiction. the desire and lust i feel for cutting, is still really strong, but i'm not going to give in to it. in a way i think it's one of the hardest addictions i've ever experienced. it has a way of taking over your body, making you think you HAVE to do it or your gonna fall apart. that addiction alone, drove my life into the ground. i just hope that if your having the same problem....that my poems will help.
