(that's me on the left) My poetry is humorous about 99% of the time...It's a habit I can't break. I love to rhyme and write about morbid, distasteful, or ordinary things in a satirical/absurdist fashion. I write poetry on the side and focus much of my writing time on plays, articles, or short stories. On occasion, I have what I call "Inspiration Defciency", a very severe case of writer's block in which I am drained of artistic ability entirely for several weeks. I'm currently rehabilatating from said "illness".
In regards to my personal description, however... I am a self-proclaimed nerd who is hopelessly obsessed with John Linnell and John Flansburgh of They Might Be Giants--a band (THE best band in the course of human history, mind you) which has inspired me and reinvigorated my desire to write. I'm also rather introverted and remain silent for the majority of the day... But when involved in rich or intellectual conversation, my true self comes out, which no one usually is able to witness, unfortunately, for I am really quite awesome. (Note the sarcasm. I am not an egotist. Well...actually yes, I am.)
