"Do you remember what it's like to be loved?"
asked the voice in my head
I shrugged and replied,
"I rememeber the pain instead"

Inner beauty is not born
It is made with each passing day
It's seeing someone or something in need
and not turning away

~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~

Believe in the power that only you can possess
Give that power away and watch your world digress

~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~

I was born to play, to sing, to feel
But these are not the things that make me real
I was born to cry, to laugh, to be
But does that make me more than an aging tree?

Because I can walk and talk and shout
Without these things, what would "I" be about?
Even though I have arms, a brain and hands
It will never make me more precious than the seas grains of sand

Only you know who you really are
Never let anyone tell you differently
If he can tell you what to do and who to be
than how can you say you believe in individuality?
