Hey there people :-)
My name's Sarah. I'm 22 years old, and from North Dakota. I write poetry for the most part to vent when I'm feeling overwhelming emotions. I also like to write about my beliefs, and about God, because I love Him a lot.
So you've probably already guessed it...yep, I'm a Christian, and I love having a relationship with a God that loves me so much, His grace is amazing. I mess up so often, but He still forgives me and loves me more than I could ever imagine.
I am bipolar and I have general anxiety disorder. I used to cut, but it's been a few months now, and I haven't, even though I've wanted to sometimes. It's an addiction. Anyone who tells you differently has never cut. I hope to never again, because I know it's something God doesn't want me to do. I'm also working on overcoming anorexia/bulimia. I've been dieting the healthy way and exercising. I was sexually assaulted by a former boyfriend, but I'm finally moving from victim to survivor, and it's been getting easier and easier, I thank God (and the help of my therapist) for that.
Sometimes my poetry doesn't really seem to go with what I believe, like when I talk about my suicide attempts, or my suicidal thoughts in my poetry. Definitely not what God would want. That is just another example of me slipping up, and trying not to feel and think this way. But it is a fact that I do in fact think and feel this way sometimes, (rarely now, moreso in the past) so I figure writing about it would at least get it off my chest.
Last, I would like to say that, if I can ever help you with anything, even if I don't know you, and you don't know me, I would love to help you with anything I can, even if it's just listening. I'm here for you! And if you ever have any prayer requests for me, just IM me, and I'll make sure to talk to God about you.
