Friend

My heart is gently touched
  By the presence of my friend
Her words of faith inspire
  And help our souls to blend

She is a blessing in my life
  She brightens every day
Allowing me to feel her love
  And never go astray

Our love is very special
  It lives within our hearts
Strong and full and very pure
    Though we be far apart

It was a gift from up above
  That brought her here to me
The world is now a brighter place
  Her friendship set me free

Just knowing you are there for me.

Fills my thoughts of times with you.

Bringing to my heart a pure serenity.

 

Again, I am at peace; your love shows.

Darkness is replaced by morning sun.

Right above so very high
Caught in time and in space

 Sunshine in the morning, it’s a glorious day,
When her sparkle and wit is on display.
Sunshine, you have brightened my world,
Pushed out the darkness, gift of my Lord.

Sunshine you see, is perfectly named,
For the gladness shared; promises claimed.
Sunshine, you greet me with warmth and smiles,
Lift my burdens, and shorten the miles.

I’m happy that Sunshine shares in tears,
And gently listens, to hopes and fears.
Sunshine has patience, even if afar,
Helping others, right where they are.

I know for Sunshine life is sometimes hard,
Not always light, dealt a rough card.
Sunshine has feelings, it is so true,
Can be bright and sunny, and can be blue.

When Sunshine doesn’t shine so bright,
The sparkle fades, and all is not right.
Sunshine responds as a friend gently blows,
The clouds away and a new hope shows.

Sunshine, I thank you for being bright,
Taking the time to share your light.
Thank you also, for being a friend,
Sticking around until the sunny end.

There we go, doing it again
Not quite touching, there is no band
Still we go, as we meet
Fast or slow, to our own beat

Let me get right to the thing
Errr….maybe not, I’d rather hang
You see I’d be more inclined
To take my words, meanings entwined

Drop little hints, so you’ll guess
That may cause me some less stress
I know you don’t want to be direct
Your thoughts maybe I’ll reject

So here we are verbally bound
Left then right, turning around
Softly gliding on delicate feet
Advancing now, then retreat

Round and round we go again
Not quite touching, there is no band
Still we go, as we meet
Fast or slow, to our own beat
