Hello there welcome to my page take off your shoes loosen your tie sit take a load off and enjoy yourself. Please feel free to peruse some of my poems, and or thoughts comments are always welcome. I joined allpoetry in hopes of improving my writing style perhaps you can help. Ok well I’ll leave you to it, enjoy.

Just a Thought

I wish I wish the two most pathetic of words. If only, follow close behind. Focus on your success? Why? The successes of life are easily seen, readily accepted and eagerly anticipated. Discover inspiration in the chaos of life. Mistakes are only mistakes if you do not learn from them. Don’t waste time wishing upon a shooting star, or lamenting a lost opportunity. Instead scrutinize analyze and examine carefully your mistake, make an advantage of your error, make it a learning experience. We’re all human therefore fallible, there isn’t some stupidity that hasn’t been committed by one person or another at one point in their life what distinguishes failures from winners is the way in which they focus. Focus on success? Hell no, focus on your mistakes make them a part of your scheme to success.

Beliefs :

God: I believe in God not the apocalyptical God of so called born again Christians, but a loving caring God, but hey you believe what you want after all god is about choice.

Friendship and family: to me the two are separate but stand equal. I see a friend as a brother and a brother as a friend.

Community: The day of the neighborhood community is dead, sure we know someone lives next door and we wave to them as they drive by but unless our kids (I have none) play with their kids then we know nothing else other that they exist. The community is now world wide; for further thoughts on this read my poem entitled “The Internet” yes, yes shameless promotion, but it truly says what I feel about community.

Preferred poetry: Yours of course or mine or theirs any poem that moves me:
Preferred poetic style and form: Who knows having never studied literature I have no idea what style or form is I prefer what I like no more no less
My poetry: Is rough but improving I’ve written quotes, love, sad, suicide, erotic, I try not to confine myself.

Favorite color: Blue, this for those that want to buy me a shirt or tie

I’m an ex cowboy who hates country music but has retained his love of boots and hat

Love

Agape love is an unconditional love. It loves and cares when there is no apparent reason to care. Example is the type of love God shows toward us.

Phileo love is that “something” that you see in another person that draws you to be their friend.

Storage is a physical show of affection like Hug and Kiss that result from a pure motive.

Eros is the fulfillment of the physical sexual desire that a husband and wife (Lovers) show toward each other.

Love and Imagination

Love and imagination are magicians
Who create an image of the Beloved in your mind
With which you share your secret intimate moments.

This apparition is made of nothing at al,
But from its mouth comes the question,
“Am I not your Loved One?”
and from you the soft reply”Yes.Yes.Yes.”

Rumi Poet Seer

Friendship is like a marriage, two people joining together hoping that the bonds which unite will be strong enough to withstand the worlds adversity. I think this next poem is very appropriate for both.

This Marriage

May these vows and this marriage be blessed.
May it be sweet milk,
this marriage, like wine and halvah.
May this marriage offer fruit and shade
like the date palm.
May this marriage be full of laughter,
our every day a day in paradise.
May this marriage be a sign of compassion,
a seal of happiness here and hereafter.
May this marriage have a fair face and a good name,
an omen as welcomes the moon in a clear blue sky.
I am out of words to describe
how spirit mingles in this marriage.

Kulliyat-i-Shams 2667

And the crusades continue

THE UNSEEN POWER

We are the flute, our music is all Thine;
We are the mountains echoing only Thee;
And movest to defeat or victory;
Lions emblazoned high on flags unfurled-
They wind invisible sweeps us through the world.

R. A. Nicholson

Unreachable

Don't try to teach the unreachable,
and reach the unteachable.
You'll break and fall against
razor blade scars and high risks.
Have I smoked too much crack?
Is there no going back for
a bright black maniac, like this?
Scolding beans; not much there
under false skin and fast grins;
quick enough to turn pale
that hardest thirst.
I am a rush of adrenaline -
unexpected, unwanted and
unreachable.

By skitza poet extraordinaire. No soul could ever be as beautiful as hers.

Ode to a Sailor Man

Sailor man
taste my salt water
ride my waves of passion
listen, watch as my thunderous wave peaks
surrounding your mast
that i have now wilted and
left to
bob
in my eddy

By lovelustre an AP poet a beautiful woman whom I proudly call friend

We passed a cemetary

Sleeping stones dot the darkening meadow
creating their own twilight
their own climate
soft trees accent the quiet
slithering leaves
and ruffling bark
the road zips and squeals
screeching its pulse
but on the green hill
every one sleeps
in fancy wooden beds
just beneath the soil.

By Pyragus an AP poet. I’m pretty sure Py and I were lovers in a past life our love for each other was so great, that god felt offended and is now punishing us. He removed us from heaven and set us back on this earth to know of but never be with each other. Sigh God why has thou forsaken me.

Hand in Hand

Walking along, hand in hand,
feeling warm, comforted, loved...
these are the things every girl wants
whether they come from loving Father
or tender, caring, and romantic Sweetheart.

A poem by Raethemoonshine honoring her father, a noble sentiment I love you Rae

~Haunted~
The shattering of glass
Silent screams of the night
Haunted by a past
When nothing seemed right.

Whispers in the wind
The hurt from within
Oh,the pain it brings
Living a dark sin.

Light no more!
Faith is gone
Unlocking the door
Everything's so wrong.

Visions of you
I just can't avoid
Oh,such a fool
It was you I destroyed.

A poem by BrownSugarNileKat the latest of my AP poet favorites. I will enjoy reading more of her poetry and perhaps getting to know her as a person. Love you Brown.
