SalparadiseShow poetry

Often undisciplined and off the cuff (much of what you will read are first drafts still, in a process of evolution), I am a firm believer in total honesty in a poem whether it is of the confessional variety or not. Content supercedes form, in my opinion. Your milage may vary. Primarily a prose writer working on the second draft of my first novel, I nonetheless consider the writing of poetry a heroic and holy undertaking that demands total devotion. You may cheat everywhere else in your life, but you cannot cheat when your put pen to paper. Or, at least, you shouldn't.

I just want to say that I love your motto, "Find something you like and let it kill you." It made me laugh.

Thank you for your kind comments....I look forward to reading your work as well. I agree about devotion with writing. It is very spiritual to me...and filled with my soul. As it should be I believe. Thanks for your visit too.

Sometimes, I am unable to say anything. Your poetry broke me down. If there was any room on my floor I'd be on my knees. I love to imagine people talking, I love to replace authors with other people, and your words... served my fantasies, but I do understand that they are you - over all of my... thoughts. I'm touching my forehead, I'm biting my lip, I don't know what else to say.
