I really don't have a style I just write whatever comes into my head the way I want to write it.Mostly I write what's in my heart.Once in a while I'll take a challenge because it's fun.I like to try new and different styles of poetry. There's not much to tell about myself. I have 2 children and a wonderful man I intend on marrying. All of my poetry is based on something that has happened in my life or someone in my life. I have poems published in the National poets society and the Editors Choice Award from the International Library of Poetry and Poetry.com several poems have been published since I was 15 yrs.old. My first name is Shirley.



Here are a few things about me everyone should know.....



I love Jon Bon Jovi...I actually got to see him in concert 13

years ago.

My favorite colors are red and yellow.

I'm a coffee fanatic.

I have been trying to stop smoking for a few years now

but nothing seems to be working

I'm 30 and natural blond,although I do dye my hair I don't

really like my blond.

We have 2 kittens,they are black/white they keep me on my toes just

like my 2 children.

Now that my children are full time students I am also working on getting my G.E.D. I am in scholl 2 days a week now.

My daughter who is now 10 wrote a poem 2 years ago and had it published in "Anthology of poetry by young americans"

Her poem title is

"BUTTERFLY"

I had a butterfly

who could cry in july

He liked to eat pie

He is too shy

He is in the F.B.I.

He is a dry fly

He is in the sky

Good-bye.

Since then she writes but keeps most of it to herself.





As for my 7 year old son all he thinks about are games and he hates writting. Hopefully one day he will take after his old mother.





As for that though I am very proud of both of my miracle children. No matter what they end up doing.
