Welcome to my page, old friends, new friends, and future employers! My name is Shay and I'm a student and aspiring journalist/novelist, but currently most of my writing outside of school consists of a lot of poetry and some fictional short stories. This account contains an archive of virtually every poem I've written over the past 3 years; I think there are around 600 now. The ones that are pinned to this page (below) are some of my personal favorites. Please take a look, comment if you have an account, and I hope you like what you see, although I always welcome constructive criticism. (Please note before reading that many of my poems contain obscenity, violence, erotica, and/or references to illegal drugs and smoking, and may cause strong emotional reactions; also, I shouldn't have to say, "incorrect" use of grammar and punctuation, but I've gotten several comments on it. Please also remember that as a poet I am very open about my emotions, and many of my poems are based on events and people in my personal life.) Thanks!
