Hello, my name is Ricca. I am not a seasoned poet, but I try my best. I am still learning the different types of forms, all though I tend to like rhyme the best. I am still stuggling with the concept and technique that poetry does not have to rhyme I know that my poems need a lot of polishing up and I look forward to constructive criticism and critiquing in order to enhance and improve my writing.

I like writing pieces that are meaningful to me and tend to write based on my mood or the emotions that I am currently feeling. I have a hard time writing pieces that I can not emotionally connect with.

Writing poetry is like a therapy to me. I like to think of it as the 3 R's...Refuge, Release and Relaxation. It's the place that I like to go to express my feelings when I have things on my mind and have no place else to turn. I am able to express myself in whole without being judged or criticized.

I am a wife of 8 years and a mother of 2 handsome boys. My life revolves around my family. Nothing makes me happier than knowing that my family is happy. I love my husband very much and truly believe that we can accomplish anything in our marriage. We have had our share of ups and downs, but no matter what, we have always found our way back to each other. I know that some people may not agree, but I believe that if you love somebody or something enough that you will not give up trying to make it work. God has blessed me so much in my life and has provided me with an abundance of love and happiness. I have learned throughout life that everything happens for a reason and to take everything with stride. And no matter how bad a situation may be, somewhere down the road is the end of the rainbow. You may not know now how a situation impacts your life for future endeavors, but one day it will happen and you will realize that you had to go through that moment of strife in order for this moment of good fortune
