RevellerShow poetry

I am 48 years old and live in the southeast of England. Married, with 3 children and 3 grandchildren.

I came across this site and thought it would be an ideal way of fishing out poems I had written on pieces of scrap paper or half filled diaries when I was 20 something and puting them in some kind of order ! BUT - I began reading other poems on this site - the first being TerriMac. I enjoyed reading her stuff so much that I was inspired to create new poems, just for fun, and I have truly enjoyed rediscovering the latent creative side - not sure how long it will last as I am a really 'faddish' type. I always do things to death or not at all (its another flaw)

If you chance upon any of my poems - thank-you for reading them

UPDATE

I have been on this site for almost 3 months now, and have come across some amazing poets and poetry. The talent out there is mind-boggling, From TerriMac who's poetry is real and incredibly funny, yet she has the ability to write heartfelt poetry too, so varied, she is an amazing lady with buckets of talent. Bluemonday and LuLuGee who are just so incredibly gifted, they have the ability to make you cry, smile or laugh with their poetic and descriptive gems. mgmc who's poetry is often dreamy, whistful and gentle, a pleasure to read. taylorndncr, who is so incredibly unique and clever, a real treasure find and I am so pleased to have found him here on this site..he always makes your brain do some work with his talented writes. Walking Oxymoron, she has the ability to write amazingly raw emotion and rip your heart out, I think she has fabulous talent. I thank all these people (and more) who have helped to inspire me and given me endless pleasure reading their poems, they/you are the reason I return day after day. Thank-you to all poets I have read here, for your talent, humour, wiseness and sharing.

Angie

Revealing nothing but random truths
Everyone waiting to see what happened with you.
Vocabulary built in various ways
Eventually becoming the sum of what she says.
Learning nothing and learning all
Living through her every fall.
Excited about each new addition...
Reveller is a lady on a mission!

For you! and the evil god in cyberspace

Will the God in cyperspace
Listen to my plea
I’m sure your very busy now
But please take a moment for me

My friend is on the other ‘line’
But she’s suffering from a glitch
And every time she hit’s the keys
Her computer hit’s a hitch

I’m sure that out in the ether
You could help her out
So that we can still communicate
Without resorting to having to SHOUT

You have megabytes and gigabytes
At your fingertips
So please do something miraculous
To sort out her box of tricks

Everytime she comes to read
She’s flashing up an error
It really is making her mad
And she’s turning into a terror

Written by TerriMac .....thank-you!

  • tjayrush : Hello, on November 16
Thought I'd say hello and thanks for all the feedback. I found TerriMac too when I first joined. She's funny. There's another guy who I find very funny. His name is UncleDunk. Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to give some back in return.
  • Night Hope on November 12

May I offer a belated welcome to AP, Reveller? I hope you're enjoying your stay here. If you ever run short of wondrous poetry to read, please feel free to peruse anything by anyone on my favorites' list. I've been here for over 5 years and have done the research for you. I posted my list, as it is difficult to keep up with the official site list sometimes. I'd recommend you read anything written by CarolDesjarlais, Nicolette, kaibab, or anyone else on there. They're all quite incredible and range in ages and styles of writing. I've learned a lot from them all, and I've been writing since I was 14. Be well, Poet.
